Neither of us was here when the work was going on, so we can?t give a firsthand experience. I had my parents come up and watch the house. The house was an absolute mess when we got back. There was tile dust everywhere. The tile was crooked. It is not all the tiles at the same level. There were pieces of tiles that stick out farther than others. I had to have them come out and redo it. They fixed it. Somebody who took tiling 101 as a community cause could have done a better job. They didn?t show up on time, but did their work in a timely manner.
Description of Work: We used Light Construction. We hired them to do some tiling in the master bathroom 2 years ago.

The countertop and sink (all one piece) got installed as requested. But the tiling was another story. I specifically asked that the old linoleum on the floor be taken up BEFORE laying down the new radiant floor and the tile. Ken just went to work without tearing it up. He ended up having to cut off about 1" from the bathroom floor because of the height difference, and we had to build a little ramp from the bedroom to the bathroom so we would quit stubbing our toes on the height differential. His wife supposedly did the tiling, but according to my parents (who were out here that day), some little flunkies of hers did most of the work while she cussed at them, and then she left. When we returned, the back wall of the shower stall had a definite "list" to the left to it. I made her come back, tear it out, and put it in right. There are still tiles that aren't flush with the ones next to it, but at this point I don't want to see them again. They also left a HUGE mess from the tile cutter, the grout, and the mastic. They also didn't cover anything or close doors, so the entire house was coated with tile dust. Clothing, mirrors, bedding. . . everything had to be cleaned. It was more work than it was worth to have those two in my house. The electrician came out to wire for the floor, and I observed Ken (not for the first time) searching for ways to make shortcuts in work. He was specifically asking the electrician about ways to get around the electrical permitting process, something I'm not a big fan of. Ken offered to do the electrical work for less than the electrician, but I declined.
Description of Work: Ken and his wife were supposed to remodel our master bathroom. He installed countertops and sink, and his wife tiled the floor and the shower stall. Ken installed new fixtures and installed the underfloor radiant heat system.
