They did a great job! I had a couple of small concerns at first, Pete came out on a Sunday an addressed them. I was very impressed at how fast they knocked the work out without compromising the quality. I will have them install two more skylights later this spring.

They had a crew of at least four guys and they completed the roof replacement in three days. I went with them because of their pricing and presentation. They also had an A+ rating on the better business bureau.

The company replaced our entire roof (was shingles). This required removing the old roof, sheeting the housing, and installing a new roof. It was done in just over 2 days. we chose to wait almost 3 months in order to have Horizon do the job due to the reputation and resulting good communication we received throughout the project

After a HUGE 2 day storm and I noticed a small wet spot in the ceiling of one of my bedroom ceilings. I found Horizon Roofing on Angie's list so I called them. Because of the storm, I knew that they would no doubt be swamped with calls, however they called me back very quickly. I told them that I wasn't really panicking because I didn't think the leak was very big, and that I understood that there were people out there who needed their help much more than I did. (In fact, they said that they had received over 100 calls on that particular weekend.) They told me that they would be in my area a few days later and that they would stop by and take a look at my roof even if I wasn't home and that they would go from there. Well, I was actually home when the man from Horizon Roofing came and he determined that it was just a vent that had come un-nailed, letting some of the rain go into my attic. He nailed the vent back (and also put a few nails in the other vents) and my leak is fixed! Horizon was awesome! They made me feel like my little leak was just as important as someone else's big leak. I was impressed with their courteousness, responsiveness, and will definitely call Horizon Roofing again. I have also recommended them to my friends! Great company!

Owner Pete is easy to work with. We were flexible with the roof project, which worked well with their schedule. The three plus days they were here were very hot, but the crew handled it well. The work crews were easy to talk to and responsive to my questions. One of the nail guns a roofer was using slipped off the roof, breaking a bay window. Pete was quick to apologize and had a window contractor out the next day to handle the entire issue. Pete has done a number of roofs in our develpment so we had a number of close references to check with. All were very positive with their Horizon experience. My overall experience was very good.

Pete and the Horizon team were great. My neighbors had them install a new roof 3 years ago and highly recommended them to me. I got bids from a number of roofers, and it's amazing how many wheeler/dealers showed up and gave me a wide variety of bids and then proceeded to offer and quot;dealsand quot; on the spot if I'd commit to using them right away. Horizon (and Pete) were very professional, no gimmicks, no double-talk. Gave me great advice, installed a quality product and the new roof looks great.

They used quality materials and took no shortcuts. The whole crew (and there were a bunch of them) were polite and professional. They worked hard and fast, and did everything they said they would. Their clean-up was great! We were very impressed with Horizon Roofing! The owner, Pete Giere, and his crew worked very hard to live up to their great reputation. We think Pete is as honest as they come. We are pleased to write this review.

The entire project started off well on a Monday morning. The crew began removing 4800 sq.ft. of old shakes. Typical for spring weather in the Pacific northwest after about 3 hours a little black rain cloud moved in right over our house and I was amazed at how fast 10 workers including the foreman could move to cover the partially exposed attic. Fortunately, the cloud passed quickly and they were back on track after taking a lunch break. The rest of the afternoon was a continuation of removing the old roof and installing plywood sheeting and felt paper. By the end of the day half the roof was stripped away and the roof enclosed. Tuesday went well with no more rain. The remaining old shakes were removed and the rest of the roof enclosed. Two new Solatubes were installed along with half the new shingles. Wednesday the rest of the shingles and ridge vents were installed and all the debris cleaned up. Thursday, 2 crew members returned for touch up and cleaned the gutters and fascia. NICE!! Overall the crew was courteous and worked very well together. My wife and I are very pleased (so are half our neighbors).

Having been in construction for 40 years I was very thorough with my process of bidding and contractor selection. After researching and interviewing several contractors to replace my shake roof I selected Horizon Roofing not only based on their competitive bid but on their responsiveness to my all of my request and questions. After selecting Horizon I was extremely impressed with the entire team’s quality of workmanship, teamwork, completing the project on time as promised and cleanliness. The entire crew was very friendly and conscience about making sure that things were done right the first time. The owner came by after all the work was completed and made sure everything was completed and that all debris was removed and most importantly that I was satisfied with the finished product. Indeed I was! I would highly recommend Horizon Roofing to anyone if they are considering any roofing work.

Hto l have an older mobile home. Last year I noticed two large indentations in the roof and corresponding bows in my ceiling. I called an cut rate contractor who told me that when the ceiling bowed like that it usually meant the roof was leaking and there was water pressing down on the ceiling. However, the ceiling was not stained and he couldn't figure out why that was as the water always caused staining. He said he wouldn't know what was wrong until he opened the roof up and looked at it. I'd been trying to save money by not going to a commercial roofer but a number of online reviews gave Horizon Roofing high marks and so I decided to call call them. The rep came out and was up there on the roof a very short time..around 5 minutes. He came down and told me that: 1) I didn't need a new roof (which coincided with information I had that the trailer had gotten a new roof shortly before I bought it. 2) I didn't have any broken roof struts. I had one that may be cracked but that was all. 3) He was sure that the bowing in the roof and the ceiling was the result of settling which was fairly common in older mobile homes. 4) That repairing the roof now to replace the struts was not a cost effective idea. In fact he called it a waste of money since the bowed struts weren't actually dangerous, just unsightly. The thing to do was wait until I needed a new roof and then they could go in and do all the repairs at the same time. Other wiser I would end up with a partial new roof that would have to be replaced again when the rest of the roof need replacing. I mentioned that the guy I had before had indicated that it might be urgent he said, and quot;Well sure. If you want to waste your money to pay me twice to do the same job, I'd gladly do that too.and quot; He then gave me an estimate that sounded a bit higher than what an acquaintance had paid another roofing company. The hitch...the acquaintance trouble with the other company overcharging and had to go to quite a bit of hassle to get things settled. I believe when I need a new roof, I will call Horizon Roofing. He could easily have told me it was dangerous and I needed to get it fixed right away and I would not have known otherwise.

After gathering 8 different estimates and meeting (sometimes more than once) with 8 different companies I had had enough. My husband suggested I call Horizon because a friend had suggested them. I was completely irritated because like I said I had had enough. I called Pete who said he would come out, look at the roof, and give me an estimate. He came when he said he would, he quickly and efficiently explained the process, he honestly told me the start date would depend on the weather but he would notify me in advance, and he gave me a price. He beat our highest bid by $15,000.00!. Three days before work began he called and told me he would be here in 3 days. The crew arrived at 8am. There were a LOT of guys on the roof. They scraped the old one off and had the new one installed by noon the next day. Pete came over the next day to make sure there was no debris on the roof or the property. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for your roof replacement. I do not have one single complaint.

We were impressed with the professionalism of the entire workforce, and especially with the cool manner in which Pete handled all of our requests and questions. We have an enormous heavy skylight which needed to be moved in order to install the roofing material. One of the workers slipped when lifting the skylight and caused some damage to our ceiling. Pete immediately and calmly handled the problem. Sometimes true professionalism is best seen when things don't go as planned. Horizon exceeded our expectations.

intI had 3 roofing companies come out for estimates. The first company was a bigger company and wanted almost double the amount as our 3rd estimate which was from Pete and his company Horizon Roofing. The 2nd estimate came in higher than Pete's bid and I felt the 2nd company was going to be a bit shady and take short cuts . We hired Horizon Roofing based on my intuition and Pete's answers to the questions I asked him . Pete's entire crew came out on a somewhat rainy on and off day and managed to complete our roof project in one day. The guys came back on Monday to put up our new gutters up. They cleaned up the roofing mess when they were finished, were professional and efficient workers. I would recommend Horizon Roofing to anyone needing a new gutter system or roofing, facer boards replaced and they do skylights as well.

Pete at Horizon came and looked at the roof replacement and torch down gutters we wanted and gave a great bid. Easily 5K less than others in our area. We had read through Angie's list reviews to find six roofers to bid. They came exactly when promised. They did the work as scheduled, and came with a crew of 8 workers with a dumpster so the tear off and reroof was painless for us. They protected our extensive gardens. They were professional and nice. When there was an item we were not entirely happy with they bent over backwards to make it better.I highly recommend them.

We had a leak in our roof and contacted Horizon Roofing. Pete Giere performed the necessary repairs to stop the leak. He did an excellent job and recontacted us after the work was performed to see if the roof was leaking after we had a heavy rain. He was able to complete the repair in one attempt - we haven't had any further issues. His charges were very reasonable. We were impressed by Pete's quick response and follow-up and would definitely contact him again if the need arises.

This was an effortless process. The price of this job was competitive or better than other contractors. It came in on budget. I recommend when making decision you read online, talk to several contractors, and roofing supply companies to ensure all you questions are addressed. Many roofing (not Horizon of course) tend to tell you want they think you want to hear to make a sale, or sell you products you do not need. I discussed everything from insulation to different types of roof ventilation. Horizon talked me out of many services/products that were not needed, fully realizing that they would not make as much in the end. I would trust this company to do my roof again.

TrüSlate™, a genuine slate roof, cost less than metal. Horizon Roofing owner Pete Giere showed us numerous roofing options and gave us detailed estimates for each. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that slate was no more costly than high end composite roofing; and we selected “Sunset” with a broad spectrum of colors. Pete came in with ten other men to remove our shake roof in only a couple of hours. They installed plywood over the existing skip-sheeting, applied a moisture barrier and stainless steel flashings in only a few hours more. They began installation of the slate on the second day. Pete and his lead installer meticulously laid all the slate, themselves, while their helpers loaded the roof with tiles, did cutting, underlayment, battings, etc. The work went smoothly and quickly though not nearly as quickly as a composite or shake roof, as all materials were thick, heavy, and durable. The roof is warrantied for seventy-five years.

They performed work rapidly and arrived when promised.The estimate was exactly what I paid.The clean up was good except for a few nails in the driveway.

Cost,quality, workmanship was excellent. They completed the job on time and at the cost they bid. I highly reccomend this company.

I was surprised that it went so smooth, it was messy but cleaned up really well. The estimator knew what he was talking about and said he worked up from being a roofer, and I think it showed because most of the other guys were sales first and work second. I'm really happy with everything.

Horizon Roofing's manager was very responsive and he was good at communicating with me. He was on time and he was easy to work with as well.

it went very well from the estimate through the job completion. Job was scheduled and completed quickly, and only took two days, they had enough workers that it didn't stretch out for a long time which I really appreciated. It is very annoying to be inside when people are working on the roof. The sales man/ estimator was friendly and informative and answered all of my many(!) questions. I am a single woman and it made me feel very at ease that everyone was so respectful and polite to me and did not talk down to me in the slightest.
