Horizon Roofing completed re-roofing my home, they have an amazing team, kind and courteous staff and uses high quality products. They went way above and beyond exceeding all expectations from scheduling, completing the work on time and the final clean-up. Their pricing was well within the expected range and the owner (Pete) made sure we were 100% satisfied. Highly recommend giving Horizon Roofing a call.

Pete and crew installed a new roof on our home in Auburn in 2008. It's now January 2020. Recently, I found a slow leak around the skylight they installed in my garage. After emailing Pete he was out the next business day to patch the leak. While here he noticed that the ridge vent that they installed in 2008 was an older style that could possibly let in rain if it was blowing real hard. His crew was out the next day and they replaced the entire ridge vent over 4 hours with snow on my roof. The leak repair, attic inspection and ridge vent replacement was all done at no cost to me even though the 10 year warranty expired over a year ago. Now that's what I call customer service! Thank you Horizon Roofing.

Pete and his guys are amazing! He gave us a bid 2 months before the job. We asked about different materials/brands and Pete was very knowledgeable, very open to discuss other estimates we had been given and other ideas we had learned from other roofers. He is not a man of many words but he is a straight shooter and, unlike the guys I'd met from other companies, he actually does the work and is not just a salesman so really knows what he is talking about. When he was all ready to go he gave us about a week notice but we had to reschedule due to a surgery in the family. Pete was totally cool about the change of plans....very kind and understanding and made no fuss whatsoever. When they started he said it would take 3 days. It took 3 days. It's been about a month or so and the roof looks spectacular. Really nice job. I work from home and the guys were very respectful the entire time and were never a problem for us at all, even friendly to our dog when he happened to be out in the yard. They cleaned every day and it was pretty much painless. Pete did not charge us a penny more than his bid, even though he ended up replacing more boards than expected. Outstanding, perfect job from start to finish and we're really happy we saw through the fluff and picked these guys.

Pete and his crew were great. They were very prompt, showed up at the time they told me. Pete was excellent in communication regarding the job. He followed the contract and even did a few extra things for me that wasn't in contract. I would highly recommend Horizon Roofing. I get stressed when I have to deal with contractors. We do not routinely submit reviews of this type, but are compelled to do so this time based on the job just finished by Horizon Roofing. After twenty-seven years, our old cedar shake roof was desperately in need of replacement. After receiving almost a dozen bids, we settled on Horizon Roofing. Although not the lowest, Pete's quote was competitive, but what really sold us was the comfortable feeling we got from Pete himself. The workers were very prompt, worked swiftly, and each day left our property virtually spotless. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Generally speaking, we have not had good luck dealing with contractors, but Horizon was a wonderful change from past experiences. We would strongly recommend Horizon for your roofing needs.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the job they did. I was impressed with the honesty and integrity of Pete Giere, the owner. He lived up to everything he promised, and more, and stuck to his original price quote to the penny. This was despite finding and repairing problems along the way (a rotted fascia board and gutter/downspout issues, etc.) He did not request any payment until the job was completed. His price ($18,000) was excellent. The high bid, as a point of reference, was almost double ($35K vs. $18K). This was for high-quality materials (Certain Teed Presidential shingles) on a fairly large house (see photo). His crew was knowledgeable, courteous, and competent. They always showed up when they said they would, and worked very efficiently. They cleaned up nicely after each day’s work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anybody looking for a roofer.

I accepted Horizon's bid after looking at 4 for a new torchdown roof with crossed seams. After several weeks delay until the rainy weather cleared, they were in and out in two days including removal and cleanup of the old roof and installation of the new, ahead of the 3 day estimate. There was a subsequent problem with a leak from a drain and Pete made a couple of trips to correct the problem. Works is now guaranteed for 10 years and my tenants know whom to call.

Great company to work with. We had several estimates by 4 other roofing companies that were highly rated on Yelp and Angie's List and Horizon was truly the best. The price was most reasonable as well as the time to complete the work. We had a metal roof installed. 2 new skylights installed, and 2 existing skylights replaced as well as gutter screens installed. First of all I must say it is not easy to find a roofing company that will install metal roofing! The communication with Pete was great. He met us on weekend (it was the most convenient for us) to discuss options, price, brought us color samples and email back the same day if we ever had any questions or concerns. Nice crew, on time, efficient, cleaned up everyday after they were done. I can't say enough positives about Pete and his Horizon company.

Pete and team did a great job. They were punctual, had exceptional attention to detail and did a great job cleaning up. I'd hire them again.

Perfect, perfect, perfect.   Everything was seamless, from the initial bid to installation, to clean up.  The roofing team was thoroughly professional in all respects.   What I had feared would be a stressful project was about as well organized and completed as possible.

Pete promptly responded to my request to come out and provide an estimate.  Another company had unsuccessfully tried to repair this leak twice.  Pete quickly determined what needed to be done and scheduled Jim to do the work.  Jim went "above and beyond" to repair the leak and was careful to remove all of the affected sheathing and blend the new shingles into the existing roof.  The repair looks perfect.  Better yet, the leak is gone and I'm extremely pleased.  I wouldn't hesitate to use Horizon Roofing in the future.

Pete diagnosed our roof problem and came back the next day to fix it. Apparently the original roofing company must have missed nailing some of the plywood and over time it just swelled up and caused the raised area which caused a leak. Pete was professional and dependable and we were very grateful to have his help in this situation. Would not hesitate to call him again and if we ever need a new roof would definitely want a bid from Pete. Thanks!!

Pete was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.  He responded very quickly to my inquiry at his web site regarding repairing my roof. The repair work had to be delayed one day, but this was not a problem at all. Pete's communication was excellent, and we are pleased with the repair done to our roof.  Because it was a minor job, another roofing company couldn't be bothered with us, so we appreciate Pete's willingness to preform the work his company provided.  

Pete returned our call promptly, came to our home to discuss the cost and process with us. Dealt with all our questions thoroughly and professionally. Was okay with delaying the project for a few months. Once we confirmed a date, his crew showed up on time to take off the old roof, were pleasant, quiet, thorough. Second crew showed up on time the next day to install the replacement roof, and cleaned up after the work was done. All were approachable and fine with answering my questions. Job done as promised, on time, and the final bill was exactly what had been quoted. Would definitely recommend Horizon Roofing!

Pete and his technician Jim were great to work with.  As part of a project to improve our attic ventilation, we needed to get an externally-baffled ridge vent.  Pete gave us a good price and helped me choose the right ridge vent system for our location (which I appreciated after having received other bids for vents that would not be appropriate in the snowy conditions we sometimes have).  Jim did a great job of removing the old vent and installing the new one, taking his time to ensure the job was completed correctly and looked pleasing on our roof.  I was impressed with Horizon and would use them again for my roofing needs in the future.

Pete Giero was very professional in his assessment of my porch roof leaking.  He explained all the alternatives that could be done and providing the least cost alternative that would look the very best for my house  Others that   I had visit prior continued to quote alternatives that would cost 4 to 5 times more than his solution.  He scheduled the work to be done in one day.  All debris was hauled away and the final results was beautiful and clean.  The next week we had a major rainstorm that truly proved the quality of his work.  We appreciated his commitment to quality and his work really showed that.  And Yes,  I would recommend Horizon Roofing for all future roofing work for others.  Great Job!

Horizon did an excellent job.  Pete, and his crew, were punctual, pleasant to work with, and diligent--stayed past 7pm the last night because it was going to rain the next day.  They did what they said they were going to do.  No major hiccups.  Pete personally came back and did inspection when job was finished and did some minor cleanup.  Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others--in fact already have.

and.I was very impressed with Pete;s (owner) business professionalism as soon as I met him..I had 4 other companies bid the job. I chose Horizon roofing not because they were the best priced, but because I was very impressed with Pete's answers to certain concerns I had with my roof that the others either couldn't answer or chose to charge more for the job. Because Horizon is a smaller company, they can offer better prices for real quality workmanship at the same time. Pete is honest, and has something that is not seen often anymore. He has integrity, and uses it in all his decisions and business agreements. He was able to address all my concerns, offer a fair price, and a beautiful, quality 5 star Certainteed Roof. I am more than pleased with the finished product! Not only did Pete's company tear off and replace with the Landmark 50 yr roofing product, backed up by a 25 yr. workmanship agreement (so I won;t have to worry about my roof for a long time), but Pete personally included in that price- ripping off the chimney to just below the roof liine,  & replaced the top of the rusted vent needed for my gas furnace. I didn't want a ridge vent along the bottom portion of my roof (extra cuts in my roof to worry about if you ask me), so instead,Pete spent nearly an entire day drilling & placing bird-hole vents all along the underside of the roof soffettry to be in compliance with the warranty requirement.Even though it was much more time consuming than the ridge vents most roofers now put on to cut time, Pete was happy to accommodate my request.  I also needed my back patio covering torn off and replaced. Pete personally provided the labor (I provided the parts) to correct a leaky installation done just 2 years prior, an unfortunate waste of money. Pete spent a good 6 hours carefully lining up the rows of neoprene screws and sheets of Suntuff PVC ripple roofing. HIs work was perfect! There was a small sliip of roofing squares when they were being put on the roof that damaged the end of my gutter on the dormer. No problem! Pete makes sure everything is put back into proper, working order at the end of the job to your satisfaction.  A new gutter was installed, and the nails in all the gutters that were coming loose, were reattached to boot! Pete believes in customer satisfaction and in doing the job right. No short cuts, which I look for in a company. And boy am I satisfied! Pete and his crews were prompt, respectful, and thorough. Clean up was great too. I am passing this company's name on to my family & friends, as well as my late husbands busness associates, because this company is fair, hard-working, and honest. Sure wish we had a whole lot more of this in the business world. Senior people like me would have it easier trying to get work done knowing they are not being taken advantage of. (By the way, if you want anybody to do major work for you, do your homework! You won't be sorry and it pays off in the end!  Make sure they are in good standing with the BBB, and correctly licensed w/ the state in Olympia. I also checked with the Master Builders Association, the roofing distribution centers in Tacoma and Auburn (for referencing purposes) and Angie's list before I hired Horizon. FYI: Everything is in an A plus standing with Pete .In fact, he doesn't do a lot of advertising, & goes by word of mouth for his busy business. That should also tell you something!)

Everything went very well, they were here when Pete told us they would be here.  Started right to work, all of the crew were very professional and courteous during the whole procedure.  The work and clean up were exceptional!

We were so pleased with the quality of workmanship that we referred them to a family member who needed a new roof.   Their project was just as impressive as ours!  It is just the way Pete at Horizon Roofing does things.

Great experience from initial inquiry to completion. Co-owner Pete Giere responded the same night I inquired on the web, and we met a few days later to discuss the scope of work.  Very professional and low-key.  Obviously focused on the customer.  
He delivered their price the next day, which was very competitive with other proposals.  I was impressed that he proposed completing the work in 2 days, and his emphasis on customer satisfaction and quality.
They dropped off samples, we made our product selections and in a few weeks our new roof was done as promised. Pete's partner Scott greeted me when they mobilized to discuss details like location of the trailer for removed materials, parking in our neighborhood, etc..  Construction debris were cleaned thoroughly after both days' work.  With the work substantially complete, Pete came by on the third day for an even more thorough clean up and finishing details.
We only asked for proposals from local companies with 90% A ratings on Angie's list.  I'm sure they all would have provided high-level service and quality.  Among this very select group, Horizon Roofing stood out for exceptional responsiveness, communication, clean work site, quality workmanship, very competitive pricing, and low-key, friendly professional approach. Our neighbors were impressed with how clean they kept the work site and how quickly the work was done.

The whole project went very well.   Pete and his crew are true professionals.   They replaced our old tile roof and repaired some areas that had been water damaged around the chimneys.   They were finished in two days and then cleaned up the whole yard, even including using a magnet to find any stray nails!   Our neighbors were so impressed with their work they decided to have their roof redone by Horizon!   I would certainly hire them again for any roofing project.
