Ken's Tree Service LLC

Ken and his crew are beyond professional. They provided top-rate service from beginning to end. They are extremely knowledgeable, skilled,respectful, communicative, friendly, and timely. Ken referred me to an arborist on his first visit to give an estimate, with whom I consulted about the job, getting yet another professional opinion about what was best for the trees. The approach that Ken's company uses, which requires free climbing of the trees with ropes and shimmying up the trunk of the tree is the healthiest technique for trimming these huge trees, and they have the technical skills and equipment necessary to make everything go safe, smooth, and efficient. I was truly in awe watching them free climb around the massive trees with harness and ropes attached and a chainsaw hanging from their harness with ease. Ken and his office manager helped me through the permitting process and gave me encouragement to help get me through the red-tape which for a first timer can be intimidating. They cleaned everything up, taking all tree materials that they removed, chipping, blowing, and detailed clean-up. We used this service for view preservation and were thankful that we had a professional who was also so well versed in the health of the trees. I would definitely refer others to this service and Ken will be my go-to for any further tree service I might need. One note I would like to add is that Ken is very busy in the field all day everyday and sometimes might take awhile to get back to you because of this, but I noted that extremely important calls from me were given priority and returned promptly. This provided no issues for me. I want to personally thank Ken and his team for the quality and professionalism of their work and communication.

They did a good job with what they started with in November. We had to delay some of the work due to the weather. They cleaned up after themselves. I was happy with what they did but they were suppose to come back by the end of February. They are finally able to come in a couple of weeks.

Ken and his wonderful crew did a fine job. Good judgment in limbing and artful in execution. They cleaned up 100%, too.

Evergreen trees can also drop large branches when there is snow buildup on them. Removing or reducing them in a way that keeps the look of the tree aesthetic and natural. Ken's men did an excellent job in that area.
They cleaned the area very well, for the most part and then hauled the branches away which were positioned on our front lawn.
I had called a number of other services with no or very late return calls back. Ken called, came to our home and gave an estimate.
Since that business depends on the weather being favorable to accomplish the work, we had to wait for 5 weeks to have the job done but, it was worth the wait. 
Ken is a very nice person to talk to and knows his profession extremely well.

He is very professional and does excellent work. His price is a little bit higher than others, but offers a good value in quality and peace of mind.

Ken gave me an estimate that compared favorably with another I received, scheduled the work a day or so out, showed up when he said he would and did a neat job.

- Ken came to give the estimate the same day I called and was very prompt and gave a written estimate immediately
- the day of the work, it was the worst weather day possible with high winds and then torrential rain and some hail and then clear and then a bit of sun all mixed together. So the yard turned into a bit of a mud pit all on it's own, but it would have been much worse if the crew hadn't taken the time to put down large planks of plywood everywhere they were going to be to protect the other plants and the lawn from what they were trimming;
- they were very careful about their work and the impact they had on the rest of the yard;
- area was cleaned up very well;
- large bucket on the truck made the trimming possible but also made it a bit slower; although they spent most of the day there, and worked hard all day, it seemed like it took a long time; I don't know if there was any way though to go faster without harming the tree's;
- Ken was clear from the beginning that it wouldn't/couldn't take any of the Ivy away with him

Ken's Tree Service, LLC were excellent. What made them special was their responsiveness, their concern about how to take the trees down and which ones really needed to be taken down and others that did not. I had talked to other companies and I could tell that they really knew what they were talking about. They were more arborists than they were, "Cut the tree down and collect the money." We had a grand fir about six feet from the house, along with a huge, huge maple that were intertwined and we knew they had to come down. We were really scared they would smash into the house or the garage. He had a crew of about six guys who climbed the trees and never once hit the house or the garage. They cut them to the length we wanted and they hauled off what we didn't want and they stacked all of it, so that we could give it to friends for firewood. It was huge. They got done in two days. They were just excellent. They had all the right equipment and a crew that knew what to do. They knew exactly how to do it and didn't waste any time at all. The cost was reasonable.

My neighbor need a 140' tree removed. It had become a danger to both his property and mine. I also needed to have two trees removed (one was dead and the other I wanted removed for landscaping purposes) so we decided to work together to get the work done. We called several companies to get estimates and Ken's Tree Service beat the other bids by half. We schduled the project with Ken's. They arrived on time, started work immediately and completed it on time. I was impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of Ken and his team. They had my neighbors big tree limbed up and cut down in amazing time. While their faller was up the big tree Ken came over to my yard and downed the two trees I needed removed.
The crew was never not busy. We contracted for them to do the cleanup and they did it on an ongoing basis as the work progressed. Ken also contracted with a local lumber company to purchase the downed tree and my neighbor received a $700 check from them for the lumber. They were done with both properties in the estimated six hours and moved on to do another job.
I am well pleased with the cost and service and will not hesitate to contact Ken's again should the need arrive.

He was knowledgeable, honest, did what he said he would do and educated us on trees in the process. No surprises with the job or bill. Very well done!!!
