DEPENDABLE HOME INSPECTIONS

He did a complete home inspection. He was very professional, had all needed equipment with him and was very well organized. He was here about two and a half hours and I feel he did a very thorough job.

Rick did a thorough job and provided me with details of both good things with the house and defects that needed to be fixed. He also provided a list of contractors that he used in the event I would need someone to do the improvements. He was very upfront, provided caveats where he needed to, and delivered preliminary and final reports on time, and when he said they would be ready.



I was very impressed by Rick, his responsiveness, and his professionalism.

Rick did a fantastic job!. My wife and I were there during the inspection to brainstorm how we were to decorate the house. He was diligent and industrious the entire time that we were there. We did not bother him while he did his work. However, he thoroughly walked us through the house following his inspection and answered all of our questions--mulitiple times. I don't know if I will buy the house, but I do know that I will use Rick again if we decide to purchase a different home.
He did find some minor rot that may or may not be a major problem. At this point, he advised us to hire a contractor to remove trim pieces to determine whether further rot has spread behind the siding. If it is a major problem, we will not purchase the home; if it is not, we will--either way, we'll be happy.
Rick is: thorough/calm/detail-oriented/patient/a good teacher/an exceptional professional. Use him and you will not be dissapointed.

Since I am an out-of-state purchaser of a home, I had to conduct everything over the phone and by mail. Rick was very responsive when I called him on the initial interview of his qualifications. He was prompt in setting up an appointment with my real-estate agent and with the tenants within the expected time. I received the Inspection Summary and related photos within 24 hours of the inspection via e-mail. We discussed all of the concerned items by phone on the day after the inspection. A full binder was received in the mail a few days later. I was able to make the purchase decision based on his inspection.
Follow-Up ServiceAfter the purchase I was ready to go ahead with some of the identified repairs. Rick was able to recommend a few contractors to me. Along the bid process, I called Rick for his opinions on drainage of the property. He patiently explained the differences in drainage options, and also sent me a list of recommended contractors to deal with various issues. I called when he just sat down ordering lunch. He patiently finished answering my questions instead of asking me to call back.
