Tony's is a scam artist. He does below average work and every time he comes by he raises his prices.

Our home was overgrown with what was once a very nice landscaping design but it simply served it's time and was ready to be swapped out.  Additionally, weeds had invaded with a vengeance and the work was more than we were willing to take on.
Enter Tony and crew.  After observing him in the neighborhood, we spoke to him about a quote.  His price was more than fair and he was able to get started within a week.  His team worked diligently to tear out the old, clean up the beds and bring in new soil, rocks, mulch, etc as well as replanting some of the existing shrubs and plants in new areas.
We are now thrilled with our backyard and are planning more work for Tony and team to do later this summer or fall.

The work was of good quality and the price seemed reasonable.   He totally cleared a rather large area of wild blackberries and the yard looked better than it had in years when he and his partner finished.  The clean up, however, was incomplete and when I had him back to do some additional work at a later date I asked him to complete the cleanup...which he did not do.  Tony would schedule times to return and complete a job but did not necessarily show on scheduled date.  I ended up doing some of it myself because it was taking him too long to get to it.  I would encourage Tony to avoid overbooking and leaving his customers waiting. 

All he does is mow and weed, and then if they pick a weed, he charges you $12 per weed.

We spent about $1,000 on that service. He was very punctual and the crew was hard workers and they came in on budget. They were also on time.

He came about every other week. I spent about $90 each time he came. He did a good job of the mowing. He always had another helper come. He was hard to understand. I was not always sure he understood me when I spoke to him. He understood the basics but it was kind of hard for me to communicate with him. That presented a little bit of a problem. As the summer progresses the grass slows down a lot and what grows is in the weeds. It would take him a much reduced amount of time. I felt it was not worth the $90. He and his helper were in and out in about 25 minutes at the end of the summer and it just seemed expensive. It took much more time earlier when there was a lot more grass. The time he had to spend reduced but I paid the same amount. I thought it would have been appropriate for him to do a little bit of other work or ask if there was other work or something. He and his companion were good workers. They worked quickly and did a good job of cleaning up everything. It was hard to ask him for something else. I had these little things that I was a little dissatisfied about. I think the price was a little high but I did not ask anyone else for an estimate. I don?t know; maybe that is just what it costs. I do have a big yard and it is kind of steep in one place. He did a good job and worked hard. The communication was the hard thing. He was responsive in terms of being there when he said he would be there. The language barrier was not really his fault. As of the moment, he is scheduled to start coming back in March. I do intend to get at least one more person to come and give me an estimate to check on the price. If I find someone else who is priced a little bit less or I can have a better conversation with about what to do when the mowing does not take as much time, then I will consider switching.

He came out when I asked him to, to give me a bid. He was willing to work out things to bring the cost down. He did exactly what I asked him to do and I was satisfied with his service.

We agreed on a price without his talking to me in person. He indicated he had seen the lawn and knew how much it would cost. After the second visit he told me he must quit because the lawn was larger than he thought, because of the hill on the property and because he wasn't charging enough. We agreed on a new price and he cut the lawn two more times at the new price. I also hired him to plant 14 privet bushes which he did but not well. He never showed up again for the scheduled cutting on July 10th and never called. My wife and I have tried to call his numbers (different than the number listed on Angie's list) and he has never returned the calls.Overall, Tony is a very nice young man but not dependable. I cannot reccomend hiring him.

After weeding one garden bed and feeling overwhelmed, I called Tony to see if he could give me an estimate to finish all the other garden beds and apply mulch. Tony answered my call on a Saturday and was to my house within three hours to give me a bid. He scheduled the job within one week. As scheduled, Tony arrived on the day planned and was on time. He completed the job efficiently and the quality was very good. He even was able to accomodate a last minute request to trim an existing hedge. I already have neighbors asking who helped us with our landscaping.

A newly purchased house didn't have much landscaping in place. I wanted to start over. Tony stopped by from a job he was doing nearby to give me the estimate to remove the few shrubs that did exist, clean up some trash, roto-till most of the yard and bring in and distribute 15 cubic yards of compost. The house is on an embankment with limited direct access to the yard and limited parking. Given the complications, the price was quite reasonable, so I asked him to go ahead. He was available in just over a week to complete the work. His crew was there a whole day completely the work. It turned out to be the same day another contractor showed up to do a concrete pour. This made access and parking even worse (it got to the point of involving a transit supervisor when a bus couldn't get through, oops). It wasn't necessarily a pleasant situation for all my contractors involved, but Tony and his crew worked through it and worked with my other contractor to make things work. They did a fine job cleaning the yard, roto-tilling and bringing in all that compost.

Tony and his team did an amazing job in a very short time. He was very thorough, focused and pleasant to work with. I recommend him highly and would definitely call him again.
