I purchased a fixer that had been in the same family for 66 years--this house had not only been neglected, but the occupants were chain smoker to the point that I had to scrape nicotine off the windows to see out. Rats had been coexisting with the occupants and chewing up things like vents, walls, etc. There were 5-6 layers of paint on 1925 era 8" base moulding and 10' ceiling crown moulding. Renata and Matina were very impressive from initial contact on. They arrived on time, prepared, timed how long it would take to removed the wallpaper and the paint on the moulding though timing how long it took to do test removal spots.
I had a comprehensive written estimate within a couple days with clearing spelled out scope of work, brand of paint, thickness of sheetrock, in addition to options that I could accept of not accept.
Renata and John spent about 3 weeks scraping paint and wallpaper! It was a yucky job. Renata arranged for sheetrock to be hung over sagging ceiling, have the plaster walls that I wanted to keep repaired and skim coated to get rid of all the cracks and places where plaster was missing. Many of the window and door frames needed to be repaired prior to painting. Towards the end of the job, my carpenter was piecing together beat up trim pieces removed from other places to trim out various windows and doors. John and Renata put some type of material on them, sanded, repeated the process if it didn't look good still and when painted, most looked they had always been in good shape. The quality of the paint job gets lots of compliments
I changed and added things during the work which lasted a little over 3 months off and on, and they were very tolerant with me. Most of all, they saw my vision for what I wanted the house to look like in the end. In 3 months of work, there are bound to be some disagreements and Renata was always easy to talk to and we easily came to some resolution that suited both of us.

Renada (sp?) came to the house to look over the job and give me a quote, wrote up the job very clearly, explained details of what would be done. Talked about pros and cons of my very tight timeline plan, where things could get sticky and what would happen the day of my project down to hourly increments.
I gave them a very open timeline of 7am to 8pm to get the work done. They arrived at 7am on the dot and left my home around 4pm, I was very impressed with that! Because of the timeline she requested everything be removed from the space - which we did ourselves the night before.
It went very well, in hindsight I would do the drywall prep the day before - it was a struggle to get the drywall mud dry enough to paint over - which I knew beforehand might be an issue. The drywall work performed was AMAZING. The crew showed up on time fully prepared to do the work, not "oh I need to run get . . . . ". When something I wanted put me over my budget they were very clear to me how much, why and details and let me make the choice to spend more or not to. They were very conscious to not make any decisions without talking with me. I stayed onsite while they worked, I would highly encourage anyone else to do this as well, that way questions can quickly be answered.
We had one odd spot that the drywall mud hadn't dried thoroughly before it was painted - a result of me rushing the job - the painter happily returned and fixed the issue without complaint and very quickly. All in all, very happy with the end result, very thankful they were conscious of my budget, and most definitely removed all traces of their being there.

Everything went perfectly. Renata was able to schedule us quickly, so we had a minimum amount of disruption. This was the last stage of the re-wiring, plaster-patching and painting, so we were eager to "have our house back."
As they painted, they went back and re-checked their work, so they made any touch-ups as they went. This meant that everything looked great when they were finished.
