John did a great job replacing rotted wood window trim on the back side of our house and we would highly recommend him. He was thorough, professional and reasonably priced. John's work is high level and it shows in his craftsmanship.

Water damaged siding from clogged gutter turned out to be more extensive than first thought. John investigated the extent of damage on all sides, including up into the adjacent roof and an adjoining corner. He removed siding boards, plywood, and insulation, down to the 2x4's which also had significant damage. He removed damaged 2x4's where possible and reinforced with new ones, those that would require replacing the intact interior sheetrock. He discovered evidence of "moisture ants" and treated the area accordingly. He installed new insulation, plywood, moisture barrier and exterior cedar siding to match the existing siding. He also repaired and replaced the damaged roofing with new materials and shingles to match the existing. As painting was not part of the original agreement, he saved a section of the original siding for us to take to the paint store for a color match. He cleaned up and removed all trash. He was very patient and thorough in pointing out and explaining damage and estimating the amount of time to repair. He stopped at several points during the repair and requested that we view the damage and his progress, so that we knew exactly what was being done. His original estimate after viewing the rotten siding was one to two days and approximately $900. As he got into the project and discovered it was more extensive than originally thought, it actually took three days and the cost doubled, but we were not surprised, and we were happy to cover the increased expense for the thorough and professional work that he had done. We would recommend him for any job of this nature.

We own a 1500 sq ft rambler, built in 1988, that needed the original T-111 siding and cedar deck replaced with Hardiplank and Trex, respectively. We were living overseas at the time and needed to find a trustworthy contractor to get the job done with minimal oversight, quality workmanship, and at a fair price. John and his colleague Andrey provided us with the most competitive estimates for both projects, including recommendations for material and and labor saving options, without sacrificing the quality of the completed projects. Both were very responsive to our email communications, incorporated our requested project changes mid-stream, and provided project status and photos throughout the process, We are extremely happy and satisfied with our new siding and deck, and would gladly recommend John and Andrey to anyone needing these services.

Very happy with the work

We replaced vinyl siding that was in complete disrepair with Hardie-plank siding, so it was an involved project and a total over-haul of a 2,800 sq. ft. two-story duplex. The contractor maintained a neat and tidy job-site, was always informative and cooperative, worked diligently, possessed great attention to detail, and accommodated special requests not included in the original scope of work. We can say with confidence that if you are searching for a siding contractor who will do a thorough job, who is conscientious and a perfectionist, then PHE is the company to hire. We were very fortunate to have found someone with such great knowledge and experience who stands behind their work. We could not have asked for higher quality, and high value for the total cost.

John was amazing! He does impeccable work & it truly a genuinely nice guy. The job took longer than expect but at no point did he rush & he communicated very well throughout the process. He cares about the quality of job he does which is rare lately. He became almost a part of our family & in a strange way we missed him once the job was done. Can't recommend him enough!
