NW RE-SIDING CONSULTANTS

I'm the nicest guy in the world and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I have to say something about NW Re-Siding consultants. I initially wrote a novel here, but it made me upset, so I'll just go over highlights: Pros: Project started out well. Subcontracting crew arrived promptly and seemed to know how to do the job correctly. Siding was replaced adequately. Job completed well ahead of the time we were told it would take. Cons: project leader left 3 days into the project and communication suffered. Toward the end, other items per the contract were not completed as promised. Job was rushed! Over 200 rusty nails left in our grass. (I cleaned them up myself and counted them!) Our outdoor furniture was damaged even though I covered it with a tarp. 3 roof tiles were broken even though I made it clear that the roof cannot be walked on without a pad underfoot. When they took off our shutters, they threw away most of the shutter clips! Very frustrating! Our front flowers were destroyed. Gutters were not cleaned appropriately even after asking multiple times, as part of the contract. (I came out around 8pm to see one guy standing on our roof throwing wet clods of dirt from our gutters into our new barked areas in the dark). We even paid the remainder before the job was technically complete as per the contract and Mr Lee the CEO threatened to sue us and take away our warranty because it honestly took 3 days for the remainder check to arrive but he didn't believe that we sent it. Very unprofessional. The list goes on. Don't be fooled by their initial friendliness and large print-out they give you about how great they are. Heed my advice and go elsewhere.

The job went very smoothly from start to finish. They had replaced the siding on a couple of other houses in my cul-de-sac a few years ago. They were one of a few companies I got bids from. By far, they were the most professional and organized. Their price was also the lowest. They did a very thorough and high quality job. They put up some new trim and replaced old trim that was damaged. There was some lawn and plant damage but that's to be expected this time of year and with this type of job. They cleaned up thoroughly after the job. They were very accommodating with scheduling and waited until I had my windows replaced first, since that job required removing some siding. They work with a painting contractor, John Rankin, who is also doing excellent painting work. All in all a very positive experience.
