Nick's Hardwood

Ok, but not great. Installers didn’t both to install the underlayment under the hardwood upstairs for noise reduction - I ended up having to return 10 rolls of it is bought, for a partial refund. Subcontractor who installed tiling in our bathrooms did a great job but complained to us that Nick still hadn’t paid him weeks later even though we’d paid Nick in full. Final bill from Nick was thousands above the estimate for things that should have been in the original quote.

Nick’s Hardwood team was great and refinished our red oak floor on time as promised. We chose Nick’s because Nick was very knowledgeable and also knew what it would take to match a neighbor’s hardwood floor finish. Our floor was previously finished with a water-based product that did not have durability and looked good for only a couple of years. Several flooring companies we contacted no longer use Swedish finish and were pressing us to use another water-based finish. Nick understood our concerns, assured us of a modern Swedish finish that showed the gorgeous grain and depth of red oak and had the durability we wanted. His team was also able to remove problems like water damage, scratches and burn marks from a hot pan that had landed on the kitchen floor. Our hardwood floor now looks brand new and we will call Nick’s team for maintenance refinishing in the future.

Although they installed hardwood through our entire house they but won't come back for 1 follow up service visit after promising to come out 2-3 time. Won't even pick up the phone or answer any emails. We have squeaky floors everywhere!! Told us it didn't need to be glued down - not a good suggestion. Terrible customer service. We were happy with their initial responsiveness but how a company handles a problem installation is very telling!

They have done hardwood installation for two houses for me. Their provide excellent workermanship with very competitive price. Nick is very nice and flexible on scheduling. it is very pleasant experience. Will hire them again.

I already purchased all of the materials, and this provider came in and did the complete job with beautiful craftsmanship.  If I had more time before installation, would have requested a detailed design put into the hardwood, but am happy with the way things went.  They also do refinishing, so we will ask them to come back and do more work when ready.

Nick came in with his crew and refinished all the hardwood floors in my house, which were installed in 1961 and never refinished in 50 years.  The result was beautiful.  Additionally, they patched an area where a previous owner had taken out a wall, and extended the flooring into another room that had never had hardwoods.  They expertly matched the new oak flooring with the 50 year old flooring so well that you cannot tell the difference.  Beautiful work, on time, easy to deal with.  Excellent guys and I would hire them again, anytime.
