We hired JR Olsen, to refinish our hard wood floors that are 27 yrs old. We choose him due to his customer reviews and workmanship and he did not disappoint. JR the owner and operator was fantastic and our refinish job looks amazing. He was nice enough to lend us his color palette and even bring a couple of sample pieces so we could be absolutely sure on the color. We had the project completed while we were on vacation and he was great with our cats and we had no issues at all. I highly recommend his company!

JR was prompt and courteous every step of the way. He arrived at the agreed upon time (and apologized when 5 minutes late!) assessed the situation and gave us a reasonable quote on his recommended management of the problem. I wish that every contractor operated like JR. Incredibly reliable and on time with everything he did. Was available to answer any questions and was very honest with guiding the right decisions for what to do with my flooring. I'm soooo happy with how it turned out. JR sanded and stained my entire 1st floor which was in rough shape after over 20 years. The floor looks phenomenal now. Couldn't be happier. JR is just amazing. Took a floor that was in really rough shape and turned it around in five days. Replaced a water damaged section with wood recovered from a renovation. Seamless. Highly recommend!

Though the area we needed to refinish was below his project minimum, JR earned that and much more for the same price. He included the adjacent dining room and hallway for continuity, going over-and-above in multiple ways to ensure that the result was not only delightful for us but something HE would be proud of. And he's a pleasant person to talk with while watching paint dry.

JR is absolutely fantastic. We had hardwood underneath our carpet that needed to be refinished and his finishing work is beautiful. There were some patches that he had noticed and was able to blend them in with the original hardwood, you wouldnt even know they existed after he was done with them. You can tell he is passionate about what he does and genuinely cares about his clients.

JR, the owner of Next Generation Hardwood Floors is a one-man-show and there is a good reason; he is a perfectionist. Our home was built in 1940 and has the original hardwood floors throughout. JR suggested to not stain the floors but rather to let the natural beauty of the grains and colors come to life with his refinishing technique, He had sample photos to share so we could visually see his recommendation. JR answers your calls, answers your questions, keeps you updated and is all about satisfying his customers. He is very flexible with scheduling. We just left the house for a few days and he could come and go at his leisure which worked well for both parties; He was our first interview and after a friendly, yet professional conversation, we know he was our guy for the job and hired him on the spot. His pricing is extremely fair and reasonable and I shook his hand immediately to seal the deal, We are extremely happy with our hardwood flooring refinishing. i will be singing praises about JR and Next Generation Hardwood Floors for years to come.

From the beginning to the end of the project, JR Olson, the owner, communicated clearly. He called throughout the project to let us know what he did. We were in a hotel. He completed the project early. The results are beautiful. We see the character of each piece of wood. Important to us is his use of environmently friendly water based stain finish.
