Nab Improvements

MONEY PAID, THEY DECLARED BANKRUPTCY FROM WHAT WE WERE TOLD WITH NO FOLLOW UP, LEFT US WITH A DEMOLISHED KITCHEN. Their lawyers won't return calls for a year.

Our friends had this company remodel their kitchen and it came out very beautifully, so we went with them.  Unfortunately, we had a bad experience.  The cabinets were hung at the wrong height and had to be re-hung. The area around the microwave was measured incorrectly, so the cabinets were not level with the bottom of the microwave.  (They fixed this by adding spacers above the microwave and refrigerator.)  One of the cabinets was the wrong size, apparently a factory error, and had to be replaced.   (The owner did expedite the replacement process.)  The owner made a mistake on part of our custom tile order and we are still waiting for the new tile to come in.  The tile installation was shoddy and we pulled some of it off before it dried.  We are having another installer finish off the job.  There was also a problem with the electrical work and my husband ended up re-doing some of it, rather than have them come back.

They are great to work with, they listen and they come out and give a detailed listing of what they were going to do and it is good quality when it got done.

I liked two things mainly. They break down the estimate and it was detailed. I also liked the quality of the workmanship and the things they put into the project. I had no issues with the clean up as they cleaned up very well. I would use them gain in the future.

My first impression was that the owner was a genuine person. His son is the one who actually does the work, and the son's attention to detail was impeccable. The quality of the work was much more elegant than the price reflected. The product was very good.

Home Expressions did an excellent job remodeling our kitchen. We were very nervous to have this work done, since we don't like having strangers in our house, but everyone who came into our house from Home Expressions was very competent and respectful of our space. We were home during most of the work. During the initial demolition work, it was very noisy, but that was to be expected. They cleaned up every day, and blocked off the work area. Once they had opened up the walls, we discovered that the plumbing was going to be more difficult than we had thought, but they just handled it. (We wouldn't have even known had we not heard 2 workers talking to each other.) When there was a question about how to handle the flooring, they were very forthcoming about the options, listening to our concerns, and we decided upon a solution that we were very happy with. They finished on the early side of the time estimate, and exactly on budget. We added a few jobs (e.g.,insulating the crawl space) that weren't on the original estimate and paid the extra amount. But that was all decided during the process with ease. I sometimes wondered whether Travis was being too meticulous, but the final result is so spectacular, that I can't help but think that it is because he is so thorough and demanding. (One of the sub-contractors called him "Master Travis"!) It has now been just over a year since they remodeled our kitchen, and we still love it. They did a great job. I can't say enough good things about their work: from the respectful, competent way they work to the phenomenal final results. This is an excellent company. They are coming back this year to remodel our master bathroom.

Overall, the job went well, except that we had to wait several months before work got started; and then, bad weather slowed everything down.
