Chris and team are just stellar, they do the right thing in the process they use to remove all that old cruddy moss from my roof so that it isn't damaged, no short cuts. They really know their business and were honest, on time and super reasonable, total pros!

Employee showed up and spent about 30 minutes on my roof. I had specifically selected this company because they said they'd use air and not pressure wash. After the employee finished my roof he told me he had been called over from another job, did not have an air blower so he pressure washed. When I said I did not want a pressure wash he said he used a gentle setting. Since it was obviously some a young employee I just said ok. After he left I got my ladder to look at the gutters and roof. I did not have to even get on my roof since once I climbed up the ladder I could see the gutters still had piles of gunk in them. I called the company to express my concerns. The owner came out and redid the job the same day but said I had misunderstood his employee and they did use air. I did not misunderstand the employee. After the owner was done he asked if that would be check or credit card. I told him I would eventually pay by credit card but not until I reviewed the work which I did not have time to do right now. He then asked me check right now since he did not want to have to come back out and told me my gutter would have some dirt in crevasses because they were old. Essentially indicating I was being unreasonable not likely the first job. I reminded him of the piles of stuff left in my gutters from the first job and he said the employee would be written up for that. The owner then asked me to come walk around to make sure he'd cleaned up the debris blow from the roof into my yard. I again told him I did not have time right now but would look later. The owner then told me poor attic ventilation is why I'm having issues. I asked him what issues? He said come out and I'll show you. I told him to write it up and send it to me so I can have a roof inspector look and that I had to go now. It's been 8 days and I have not received anything. Overall, it felt like an attempt for the owner to cover the poor and improper work performed by his company. I paid a couple days later but will never use this company again.

We needed a company to clean the moss off of our roof. We wanted someone who did not use pressure washing to get the job done. Chris from Moss Patrol came out to the house to provide an estimate the day after my call. He was able to schedule the service immediately for the following day. He arrived on time and was very personable and professional. The work was completed quickly, and our roof looks great. We will definitely call them again in the future!

Outstanding communication and service. Answered our questions and built confidence and rapport. Accommodated our schedule and short timeframe to market-prep the home for sale. Arrived promptly. Worked conscientiously, amidst other trades at the site. Directed spray to avoid neighboring properties as much as possible. Eliminated moss and dark streaks on roof. Thoroughly cleaned up our property afterwards and what unavoidably fell onto neighbor's property. Roof cleaning made a world of difference - exceeded our expectations!

Two employees showed up on the scheduled day for work. There was an apparent lack of communication in regard to the roof type (metal) which the head worker brought to my attention; however, it didn't result in any issues. The work started at approximate 12:00pm and concluded at approximately 5:30pm. Both employees worked straight through the full 5.5 hours and our roof(s) look brand new! Very pleased with the result. They also cleaned all surrounding side walks and pathways that had become dirty from the cleaning. The only detraction I can speak to is I was expecting a repair / replace quote for the carport, but I guess that wasn't conveyed to the employees or they forgot. One main window on the front of the home was also not cleaned after the work was completed (minor - I didn't see it until this morning - not a big deal).

We bought a house that badly needed the roof cleaned because of large overhanging cedar trees. The debris was very deep around dormers, in gutters, etc., and moss was growing (although not as bad as many houses in Seattle). Our house is fairly tall with steep roofs so we did not want to climb around up there much ourselves.
Moss Patrol provided a clear estimate, was punctual and responsive in all communications, and met the estimate exactly. When we had to reschedule the job once -- our decision, because of serious family matters that unexpectedly came up-- Moss Patrol was flexible and did not make an issue of it.
Overall, an easy experience and we are pleased with the results.

Moss Patrol sent one workman out who spent all day working. He worked really hard. If you go to their website and look at the before and after pictures of a mossy and clean roof, well, they're completely accurate. Our roof looks brand new.
They use high pressure air for both blasting moss off the roof and for cleaning out the gutters. If the gutters have lots of mud in them, you can expect to see small mud splatters (like dirty rain) appear on the outside of the house. Also, during the cleaning, lots of moss and pine needles ended up on the ground around the house. They clean all this up as part of their service, using rakes and brooms for the dry debris and a garden hose for the dirty spatters. They get 99% of it, which I thought was all that could reasonably be expected.
Be sure to read the information they send you ahead of time so you know what to expect. They warn you, for example, that there will be some infiltration of pine needles and such near skylights, as it gets blown under the flashing during the cleaning process. This did indeed happen but it wasn't a problem. A minute with a vacuum cleaner was all it took to clean up. Next time they do this, though, I think I'll put a sheet over things underneath the skylight to make cleanup even easier.
I opted not to get the spray on the roof which is supposed to inhibit moss growth, which would have cost an additional $100.
The only problem I had was that--in spite of warning them ahead of time--they did leave some dirty spatters on the neighbor's house. But they came back out and cleaned that up for no additional charge, so everybody's happy again.
