We hired Lydia because she communicated well with us and seemed very professional. She started with us and brought with her a young assistant. They seemed to work together well and our home was getting cleaned. Unfortunately the communication was no longer with me as it could have been . Things started to change because her assistant plans to move started to take action. Lydia showed up by herself and spent more time on dusting details than overall cleaning. She even told me to choose what was to get done at the visit and it was frustrating as her choices of what was important to take care of seemed unfocused. I would have happily given up the detailed dusting for the general cleaning I couldn?t do, but she seemed unwilling to work with me or communicate the issues until the request to choose as her time was limited. She later brought in a new assistant who seemed to have not be told about how and what to be doing. She over used bleach and then used some new blue cleaning towels we purchased to wipe it up with. It just wasn?t professional to leave a brand new employee alone here. I had written a list that day of what we needed done since the time before I was left paying for a full session with minimal results. The list wasn?t given to the new hire and she started to redo things that didn?t need to be done. It wasn?t what I wanted to pay for and it was the end of a situation that went downhill because of the owner?s priorities.

"I work off a detailed checklist to provide my customers with a thorough cleaning. I was losing my "star" employee" Chrystina who was moving to Virginia due to her husbands Navy posistion. Finding a replacement qualified or equal employee was difficult. It takes time to train and develop good staff as I explained to (member name removed). I worked with both my staff, Chrystina and Arianna to get the volume and precise methods/products done on the checklist. (member name removed) was getting 4 hours of heavy detail from two staff. (That is equivalent to 8 hrs of cleaning at the rate of $36.00 per hour. My normal rate is $45.00 per hour for two people. (member name removed) requested we spend less time dusting to make sure the bending over and lower other tasks that she wasnt able to do got done, so we prioritized accordingly. I was and continue to be a growing business. Back in April of 2011 when she had mentioned her dissatisfaction, my company was growing and I was working long hours. I offered to change the schedule to accomodate her families needs. I followed up with her if she was there at the end of the cleanng day. I offered (member name removed) a free, personal 3 hour clean with my apologies. (member name removed) declined the offer. I continue to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee for my customers."

The service has gone fairly well. She is really thorough when she does the work herself; sometimes she has another employee and generally they're not up to her personal quality, but they are satisfactory.

It looks like she didn't even dust. She tried to over charge me and I said no because she was late. She was not even here an hour and half.

The owner came over and said she would do the work herself, but she ended up sending someone else to do the work who was inexperienced and not that good. They had poor follow through and did not say when they were coming.

I was looking for a house cleaner that was able to set up a schedule for every three weeks to come clean the house. Even though i have not found one yet, I contacted Lydia"s Cleaning Service and got a return call a couple of days later. This was after Lydia and I played phone tag. We agreed to meet on a Saturday morning for a walk through of the house and a face to face meeting to talk about my requirements. We agreed on a time to have the place cleaned and a schedule to have a reoccurring cleaning.
Chrystina has been wonderful and is very thorough. The house has been very clean and fresh smelling. I am very happy with her work and have had no reservations about having her come to the house.

Fabulous! Very experienced, estimate was bang on for first clean on the amount of time. Very knowledgeable in various surfaces that needed to be cleaned and various products that can be used, our preference/choice, of course. Was referred to her by a trusted friend who has used her for 8 or 9 years. From our experience and what our friend has told us over the years Lydia's Cleaning Service is A++++! Lydia has cleaned my house for several years. She does a great job and I trust her completely. She is so reliable that she appeared at my door with vacuum cleaner in hand last winter during the snow storm when nobody else was venturing out. Lydia takes care of my cat when we go out of town, and handles anything else that I ask of her.
