Since this was not an emergency (the leak was slow), we set up an appointment on the first call. On the day of the appointment, I received another call confirming the approximate time. I had to pay for the visit from Everett, but I needed the peace of mind that there were not other pipes going bad. Once here, Dale showed me what was going on and the time it would take to finish the job. He was done in the hour. He replaced 20' of 1/2" with copper with PEX. The total call was 2 hours at 225 an hour, plus materials. They did give a sr discount. I would use them again.

Arrived on time and was finished within an hour even though I asked for additional repairs. Fair price and friendly, professional service.

I had a leak between the main water meter and my house so the fire department turned off the water at the main.  I called Terry at 9:15am and he said he could come by after his jobs that day and assess the situation at no charge.  When he showed up he went immediately to work in the crawl space trying to determine the cause of the leak.  He was able to find the leaking fitting and had all of the necessary equipment with him to make the repairs on that first visit.
Not only was he very professional, but was clearly knowledgeable as he discussed in detail some of the other plumbing features about my house.  This is my first house and I've owned it less than a year so his additional information was very welcome.  After he fixed the leak, Terry took some additional time to answer a few general plumbing questions I had and even tightened some fittings underneath my kitchen sink.
It was a very stressful situation for me, but turned out to be fantastic as I now have a trusted plumber should I need one again.  I will happily refer him to anyone in need.  It was a fantastic experience!

The last time, we had to call him because another plumber didn't do something right. He came out and fixed that just a couple of months ago, maybe July, I'd say. It was free, he just came out and fixed a screw up. Terry's just a really really good heart, a wonderful person, really decent man and just - and he's totally honest, you know, there's no games with him or nothing and he does the same thing. If he says what he's gonna do and there's a price to do it, you know, he'll do it. And he's replaced our hot water heater. He's just - he's done all kinds of work and he's - the last major thing that he did for us, the water turn off by the sidewalk, we wanted an easier emergency to that, he completely replumbed from the street there and what he did, he brought it all the way up to just by our front porch - on the corner of the front porch so if I have an emergency to turn it off, I just lift up a little lid and I just turn it off. I don't have to run out to the street, get way down there, deep down and try to turn it off. So he did that for us, which is great. He's local, he's independent, he just has a couple of guys and he hires as he needs them. He's smart, he knows how to address a situation based on experience. I know that over the last dozen years or so that we knew him, I know that I recommended him to at least a dozen people.

They are a totally big disappointment. They came out and said they'd fixed it but nothing has changed. The leak is still there. Still the same. I thought they knew what they're doing. I will not recommend them. They're same as the other company I went in to. I would not use them again in the future.

Terry was very helpful. He actually addressed two issues for us. The first one was reoccurring and the second one a bot more urgent. Terry accommodated the urgency and made himself available to address the issue. He the took care of the other issue. He communicated well with us during the process.

Contractor was not responsive to phone calls.  Contractor refused to issue invoices so that accounts payable measures could be processed.  Contractor refused to provide invoices.  Contractor wanted proposal to be all of the accounting information that he would provide.  Later received one invoice after the work was performed.  This resulted in an overpayment.  I have been working on getting the overpayment refunded for over two months.  Terry Selfrige refused to issue refund and when I stated that I would document this with the Better Business Bureau he said, "Oh, you are trying to blackmail me."  I stated, "No, I am trying to get you to pay us what is owed to us.  It is accounting."  Regardless of what quality of work this person does, when the accounting is this bad it is too risky to do business with this company.  Especially, after Barb (wife and bookkeeper) was to issue the refund per his instructions and voice message left on my phone. 
This was a horrible experience overall.  The work was performed by a condo homeowner's association and I did not hire him.  The Presdient of the association hired the contractor.  The President has since been removed from the board.
Contractor filled out deposit information incorrectly.
I have copies of all canceled checks and the one and only invoice he issued and one proposal because he never mailed any other proposal documents or invoices.  We had requested this information repetitively. 
It is unfortunate.  I wish this transaction could have been positive. 

My old water heater went out, so I picked three of the well-rated plumbers that were close to my house to call for estimates. One never called me back (I guess he had enough business that he didn't need mine). Another quoted me $950. Holmstad's quoted $830, which was substantially better. Holmstad's also offers Senior, Military, Law Enforcement, and Fire Dept discounts of 10%. I qualify for one of the discounts, so that was nice to get an additional $83 dollars off the price.
I was told they would arrive between 5:00 and 6:00, which they did. The installer was very professional, answering all questions I had and tolerating my very nosy 5-year old son. The work was done quickly and cleanly and the old heater and all trash taken away.
I will definitely be calling Holmstad's for any future plumbing work I may need in the future.

I have used him many times in the past and am always happy. He is very knowledgeable and is priced very reasonably. He is the most honest repair man I have ever worked with. He has always done perfect work.

This is a top notch plumbing company. I have used them for about the last 10 years. I have had other plumbers in the past and it is a combination of the quality of work he has done both for my personal as well as my rentals. If I have an urgent situation he is there so he is very punctual. He has saved me money and is very honest. The first time I used him he figured out a problem within 5 minutes that two other plumbers had been working on for three days. I will use him again in the future.

TERRY CAME THREE TIMES, OVER SEVERAL WEEKS: THE FIRST ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS, TO CORRECT THE SITUATION. HE DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCY AND PROFESSIONALISM, AS WELL AS BEING POLITE, ON-TIME AND RELIABLE. WE WERE SATISFIED WITH HIS PRICES AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS SINCE.
