lAs stated in the previous space, it was a very positive experience.

The challange for HD Electric LLC, was having to figure out what a previous contractor had done wrong and then how to fix it without tearing into the walls. Scott was exactly on time both days. He paid careful attention to what we wanted and what the problem was. He checked everything out and then did his magic. Scott is very personable and fun to talk with, I would highly recommend him for any electrical work you may need taken care of

I have a can light in my kitchen that has been slowly dying over the past 6 months. It's been on my 'to do' list to have someone come and take a look. When it finally went out and stopped woking altogether I made a decision to move it to the 'top' of my list. It had sat non-working for weeks until I was referred to Scott. After explaining my situation to Scott we made plans to have him come and check it out the very next day. Scott arrived at exactly the time that we had agreed upon and was very professional. In no time he had assessed the situation and knew exactly what had to be done. He went back to his shop and promptly returned with the necessary part in hand. Just a mere 20 minutes later my kitchen light was fully functional again. Scott made sure to lay plastic on my counter to avoid getting sheetrock dust and particles everywhere and even cleaned up after himself. I have heard of Angie's List but had never joined until now... My entire reason for joining is so that I can draft this recommendation for Scott of HD Electric, LLC.

We first met Scott in his role with Top Level Contracting and Kitchens for Cooks (we highly recommend this entire team of professionals). We have been working our through our older house, doing complete a complete remodeling overhaul. Therefore, as described above, Scott from HD Electric has been completely responsible for all the electrical work in the house. One of Scott's co-workers described him as one of the brightest/best electricians in the region; I have to agree and he is my first choice when we need help. During the remodel process, I kept pretty close tabs on the estimates and the work that was completed. The entire team was right on track and any change-orders were clearly justified. Even with pre-established blueprints, if I'm available, the team, and especially Scott, always doublechecks in regarding decisions, and quot;How many outlets? Where should they be spaced? Do you like the track lighting like this...or this?and quot; I always appreciate this double-checking. When I haven't been available, the decisions they have made are sound. One of the most important things I appreciate about Scott is the responsibility he takes for his work. More than once, wrong parts were delivered and he just, and quot;took care of it.and quot; Also, when a transformer malfunctioned, he was there -- very quickly, to make sure that the product (and our house) was safe. It wouldn't be a fair review of Scott if I didn't say that he is an outgoing and fun personality. He works hard and doesn't waste time, but he always has an entertaining story if you have an extra few minutes (and they are usually worth hearing). All that to say, Scott is our first choice in electricians for the and quot;big stuffand quot; and for the smaller emergencies.

He was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. We haven't had a problem since. Scott is the only person that I would trust with any future electrical needs.

Overall the service was outstanding. He was prompt, efficient, and provided excellent forethought as to potential future needs. We incorporated those suggestions into his work. He is an expert in his field, and I will definitely recommend and use him for all our future electrical needs!

Scott is a great, down-to-earth electrician with all the knowledge and experience you want in an electrician - as well as the ability to anticipate and explain possible issues in terms a homeowner can understand. I first hired Scott for a project to add a main-floor washer/dryer in an upstairs closet. He showed up on time, did the job efficiently, and even encouraged me to help shave time off his bill by helping thread wires through the drop ceilings in the basement. He got a great deal on an ultra-quiet fan and passed the savings on to me rather than marking it up, and his bill was on the lower end of the range he had quoted. I had such a positive experience with Scott that, for my basement remodel, I decided to hire the general contractor who had recommended Scott, figuring if Scott represents the caliber of subcontractor that G.C. works with, I can't go wrong.

The electric igniter on my gas cooktop had been malfunctioning (snapping constantly, even when not turning on a burner), and the outlet where the cooktop was plugged in was showing an and quot;open groundand quot; when I tested it. I called the appliance repairman and he came and ordered a new part, but suggested I contact an electrician to take a look at the outlet. I called HD Electric and left a message and Scott got back to me later that day. I explained the problem and he said even though he was booked solid for the next few days, he would try to work me in later that night after his last appointment, at around 8:30 PM. I asked about his charge for a service call and he said $35 for the first hour, but no charge if he could not fix the problem. He called at 8:30 and said he was just leaving his last job, which had taken longer than expected, and he wouldn't be able to make it afterall. He told me the next opening would be 3 days later (Tuesday). Since this was not an emergency, I told him that would be okay, and he called back Tuesday and said he would come at 6:30 PM. He showed up right on time, went right to work, and found I did not have a ground wire in the outlet in question. He said this was really not a big concern, and that the new electric igniter should work properly when plugged in to that outlet even though it lacked a ground wire. He said when the appliance repairman returned and installed the new igniter, to call him if I was still having a problem and he would go into the crawl space in the basement and run a ground wire from one of the outlets in the basement. Even though he was at my house for approximately half and hour, he would not accept payment since he didn't fix anything! He reluctantly accepted the gas money I gave him.

The overall experience was good and I liked their quality of work.
