Just sharing my experience. I was given a quote by FJ Painting and Maintenance of 1300 to paint two rooms in our house. (Larger rooms, so that seemed like a fair price) they painted one of the rooms yesterday and came back and fished it today (it looks good!). When asked about the second room, I was told there was a miscommunication, and it was a quote for only the ceiling in the 2nd room. Which is ridiculous imo. And that it would be an extra 300. I am a fairly reasonable guy and I love supporting good small businesses. But I get ****** when I feel someone is trying to rip me off. VIA text (have receipts) Katrina told me they charge 300 per room. Why was I charged 1200 then? (She said because the two colors and the ceiling lol) Again this is just MY experience. I did pay them $700 of the 1300 for the work they did.

"In regards to any social media post about Fj painting & maintenance. On February 26th filex went out to see [Member Name Removed]’s job , when he was there filex was shown the first room that was a garage turned into a room, then shown the 2nd room & I believe there was a language misunderstanding & filex believed [Member Name Removed] told him he only wanted ceilings done. So filex quoted him a total of $1300 cash for the entire job & [Member Name Removed] would purchase the paint. On Wednesday 3/2 filex & Isma (employee of Fj painting) started the painting project. Most was finished that day besides the ceiling & a small drywall repair that would be done the following day (3/3 Thursday ) [Member Name Removed] reached out & asked when the 2nd room would be painted. At that time I reached out to filex to ask him & he let me know walls weren’t included but it would be a extra $300. [Member Name Removed] got angry right away & thought we were trying to rip him off & I continued to apologize for the miscommunication & kept it professional the entire time. At this point [Member Name Removed] threatened to post all over social media so I offered for filex to come out to finish the entire job without the extra charge & he declined. I just wanted our side of the story out there as we have been in business since 2012 & have never ripped off a single customer. We have a great representation & would like to keep it that way. $700 was paid on 3/2/22 of $1300. Thank you Katrina jimenez Co-owner of Fj painting & maintenance"

Felix was initially responsive and did complete the job. However, upon being asked to return to fix a very poorly constructed part of the project (done by his assistant) he has offered no response. Several text messages and voice mails have resulted in radio silence. He also committed to return to do some painting, but did not follow through. Very disappointed that this company is recommended by Angie's List.

Was impressed that Felix did some research before starting the job and was able to color match the stain so well. Price seemed a little high by Felix really did a great job and took the job seriously even though it wasn't a large project.

Felix gave me some great quotes so I decided to hire him. He started the next day. We now have him coming out 2 x a month to take care of our yard.
