We are thoroughly impressed with Damian John for kitchen appliance installation. The installers were always professional, extremely well-trained, and efficient. On our last visit (it took several days of install due to our construction schedule), the lead installer went through everything: ensuring we were happy with the install, and making small adjustments. We couldn't be happier, and will always use Damian John in the future for our appliance installation.

Our new appliances were purchased from a local retail store. Damian John Installations was assigned as our contact for the installation. Eric provided us with an in-home estimate immediately after the holidays. He provided clear advice on what his company would do and also a cost range, since the ovens were a very tight fit and might require additional cutting of a countertop and around some shelving. The opentop also would be a close fit and possibly need trimming of the opening. As it turned out, only the molding on a pocket door needed to be removed, no special cutting for the ovens, so additional cost (over what we paid to the retail store for estimated installation), was minimal. Some cutting was necessary for the stovetop w/ 240 v. power into a junction box in the cooktop cabinet. Removal and installation cost of both appliances was $588, which we were fine with. It could have been more difficult. We found Damian John Installations to be knowledgeable and conscientious when performing installation of our new appliances. There was good communication, with pre-install instructions provided. The only downside, it took about 4 weeks to start the work after signing the approval form. All work was completed in an afternoon. The wait was definitely worth it and we love our new appliances.

Ryan and his fellow employee did a terrific job. They obviously knew what they were doing and were able to handle some unexpected issues with the dishwasher.

They guys came out to install a new cooktop and downdraft vent in my kitchen island.  They were prompt and notified me when they would be arriving.  They informed us on every aspect of the installation and explained to my husband exactly what they were doing.  They were very courteous and cordial.  Very knowledgeable about what the installation and pointed out a small glitch in the compatibility of the cooktop with the downdraft vent before proceeding with the work.  We acknowledged and they got right to work.  They answered all our questions.  They had to make some modifications to the vent work.  The guys were very efficient.  They cleaned up the work area.  We were pleased with the work done.  The price was  a bit more than I was quoted on the phone, but some of that was because of the modifications made to the vent work.

I was referred to Damian John Construction by the appliance store I purchased my dishwasher and disposal from. I was able to get a hold of their company quickly, but it took a few weeks before I was able to get an appointment to install these appliances. The crew arrived in a timely manner. One of the employees was very bossy to the other employee while the work was being performed which made me feel uncomfortable. The same employee continued to let me know throughout the appointment how they really should be charging me more for the work they were doing and that their original estimate was way too low. I found his behavior unprofessional. After they left my sink started leaking and the water was draining very slowly. I called the company back to explain the problem I was having and their office person told me I needed to call the original worker myself to have him set up a time to come fix it. I left the worker a message and didn't hear back. I ended up calling the office back and speaking with Damian who was very courteous and helpful. A different set of employees came out to my house to fix the leak. A week or so later the stripping on the outside of the dishwasher fell off and later the u-shaped pipe started leaking again and just came off upon grabbing it. I was so frustrated with my experience that I decided it was not worth calling the company back and instead have someone else fix it.

This involved removing sections of the ceiling to allow for overhead ducting.  Damian and his crew were "EXCELLENT".  They had to perform a number of varied tasks including electrical, sheetrock, granite cutting, gas plumbing and hook up, range installation, ducting, and plumbing fixture installation.  The quality of work was top notch and they were punctual, clean, personable and reasonable on pricing.  I would definitely use them again.

Eric and his assistant were totally professional, skilled and knowledgeable.  They picked up the new range at the dealer's location and kept me informed about their schedule, traffic delays,etc. for the delivery and install.  They clearly explained the pricing in advance of doing the work, and it seemed very reasonable for the scope of work.  They knew exactly how to modify my cabinet molding and floor to accomodate the new range, as well as to hook it up to the gas line.  They were took care to protect our floors and surfaces, and cleaned up after.  I would definitely recommend them for any appliance install work.

It went very well. Damian and his team were all very professional, polite, and extremely careful of our house. They covered the entire hardwood floor to protect it.  They arranged our appliances so we could still have access to our refrigerator during the remodel, they hung plastic sheeting to keep the adjoining rooms clean.



They were very flexible and worked with us. The did an amazing marble tile backsplash that goes all the way from the counter to the bottom of the cabinets that came our beautiful.







We will definitely have them back when we are ready to remodel the master bathroom.

He was clean and efficient.  It wasn't a complicated job.  He did what he came to do, and the only evidence of his visit was my newly installed microwave.

They are amazing and I don't want anyone else touching my house. They are so nice, they are fair in price, they are on time and punctual. They will be coming back in a few weeks to redo my fireplace.

He was referred to me by an appliance company and did a great job. He was on time, punctual, neat and clean. Everything was good; he took away the old ovens and installed the new ones and they have worked great.

On time. Did exactly what was expected. Estimate was right on.

They were knowledgeable, professional and respectful of our property.  The job was done quickly.  My only complaint is that we had to call them back because a screw they installed came loose and they had to replace it with a different (longer) one.  Since then we haven't had any more issues with the installation.

From the moment they arrived (on time and with a great 10 min heads up call as well), they were professional, courteous and really neat/tidy/clean.  They took great care of our brand new hard wood floors and worked around all of our issues (like the 220V outlet not being placed correctly and they were able to fix that on the fly).  The reason for our $750 price tag was because they needed a team of 4 to get the 60" range into the house - and they did this EXPERTLY. No fancy equipment or gimmicks - just muscles.  Damian was even great about letting me engage my curiosity and watch the whole move/installation. 
I would definitely recommend Damian and his team.  PS: ask Damian about his pierogies . . . they sound DIVINE!!!

Arrived on time and finished on time, after the installation the place is cleaned up and look fine.  Friendly.

Issues with the installation:

1) Missed a screw on the wall cabinet, no big deal, I can screw that back in myself.
2) Range hood not venting well, lots of air forced out by back pressure via the grease cups, and the cups rattles when the unit is on high setting.

Called and asked about this, I was assured that it was normal because the unit has very high CFM, and he's seen many cases of this.

Contacted the manufacture and they said that it is not normal for the unit to have the cups rattling and that this must be an installation issue.

The hood was taken down by another company to check the ventilation issues, here are a list of issues:

1) Bracket was not sealed from the hood to the ducting, so the air is pushed back into the chassis of the hood, and escaping from the cup holders and seams in the chassis.

2) Bracket was protruding 2 inches into the ducting, leaving only about 1-1/4 inches of space for air to travel though, created more air pressure.

3) The new hood was installed higher than the existing unit, and a hole was cut higher in the ducting to make that work.  But the bottom part of the transition is not sealed, cause the air to travel upward but downward as well, and the downward flow causes back pressure.

These issues are being corrected now.  I gave the ratings because it felts that the installer is more eager to get it done and get out than doing the job RIGHT, and the answer provided to me that it was "normal" certain doesn't help my view.  I'd rather have the contractor consulting with me and come up with a solution than just assume that it'll be fine.

I was very pleased with this company.  When I called, the person on the phone gave me a price for the uninstall and set up the appointment.  They called the night before to confirm an arrival time, and were at my door at the time promised.  The workers laid down protective coverings, were efficient, friendly, and professional.  The owner was present, and at that time examined my new cooktop and vent, and gave me an estimate for installing them.  Because the vent system was different, he explained that I could either try to exchange the new vent for a different one that would be similar to my old one which would be less expensive to install, or keep the new more powerful one I purchased, which would require the new venting pipes be installed.  He bid the project both ways, and just asked that I tell him when I called to set up the installation which way I would go.  I decided to keep the new vent and have the system redone by him.  I did not get other bids, but believe the price quoted was very reasonable for the work done.
The installation went well.  Again, they called to confirm arrival, called again that morning to say they were on the way.  They protected my floors, cleaned up after themselves, and were very friendly and efficient.  They explained how to use the new cooktop and vent, and relit all my gas pilots that went out when they had to turn off the gas to install the new cooktop.
I am very pleased with their work, and will definitely use them again for other projects.

They worked quietly and efficiently and knew exactly what they needed to do.   They cleaned up well and hauled away the debris.
