CM Heating has installed a new American Standard Heat Pump in our home. I had 4 different companies come out to give me estimates and discuss their recommendations for my needs. CM Heating was measurably better in all areas: they spent more time explaining the "hows & whys" of home heating, they took more care in determining the correct size heat pump for our home, they figured out a way to modify my duct work so that I could qualify for a PUD $1k rebate, and their financing package was the very best with the lowest rate from anyone, including my own credit union! Now the installation is done, and the house is nice and warm and I am saving $$$ on my PUD bill with lower energy usage. I must say I was really impressed with watching the attention to every detail as Brian and Justin worked on customizing the installation for our unique furnace location and ductwork. They are true craftsmen in what they do, and they made sure to clean up all the debris so it would not get tracked into the carpet in the house. Josh did miracles on my electrical panel which needed to be cleaned up so it would pass code. I can't believe I didn't check my records before calling CM Heating. I read the glowing reviews and called them, not remembering that I had already had one bad experience with them. This time I called for a problem with one furnace, and as long as they were there, I decided to have them do a maintenance check on my renter's furnace. On the second furnace he charged $260 for cleaning the blower...this in addition to the $129 for maintenance check. He also told me I needed to replace the same part on both furnaces "because they will eventually fail". Two different furnaces...different ages and different brands. I should have been wary at this point but I went ahead and said yes...he seemed so honest...it was only later that I thought, "Well, why should I replace it now? I'll fix it when it does fail." In my defense, it was 8 in the morning and I was sick with the flu. An hour later I was facing a $1,500 bill! Another item is for a $650 blower motor. My friend looked up the part online and said the part was less than $200...which means I paid $450 for installation?!? At the end, he added up the charges and I said, "Is that the final amount?". When he said yes, I asked for 5% senior discount shown on Angie's List. First, he said he'd never heard of it, then when I showed him the web page he said he would have to call the office. He went outside to call, then came back in to report that he had already given me 15% off the parts so he couldn't give me both discounts. When I asked him to explain the first discount, he said it included $129 for next year's service, already built in. I asked him to just take off the $129, since I would prefer to call for service on my own. At this point it was no surprise that he refused.

My wife and I recently completed an extensive rebuild of our heating, cooling and fireplace systems with CM Heating. We found our experience to be outstanding form the start with Rusty, who provided our bid information, to Kevin who completed our duct testing after the installation process had been completed. Our communication with Debbie, in the CM Offices, was always very positive and upbeat. Any questions or issues were handled cheerfully and efficiently. On the installation day, Kevin and Justin arrived to get started on the furnace/airconditioning equipment, Matt arrived to cover the gas fireplace inserts and Richard handled the electrical work. John came in later to cover the sheet metal work for one of the fireplaces that demanded some custom fabrication. All of them were courteous, clean and professional. They were also very informative as the day went on, answering our questions and making adjustments that were needed after they got input from us first. We couldn’t be more happy with the equipment and workmanship. We have confidence, as a result of our experience so far, that we will be well taken care of during follow-up servicing and any warranty work, should it be needed. Based on our experience we give CM a very strong recommendation for anyone needing HVAC or fireplace work of any kind!

It was an extremely positive experience from Rusty the sales associate to the the project manager, the installation team, vent cleaning tech and office staff. They were professional, friendly and on time. The price was very reasonable. I don't feel we could have picked a better company and I highly recommend them. We love our new central air.

Installed a furnace and air conditioning and several days later on short notice installed a hot water heater
Description of Work: s always CM provided top notch service. I called them for an estimate for a heat pump hybrid system or an A/C. Rusty showed up and did the load calculations etc and determined my existing furnace was to big for my home. Since our summers are short he suggested an A/C vice a heat pump, but with a 95 AFUE furnace. He presented three bids. All three bids were lower than I expected. We went with American Standard. After I accepted the bid, Lloyd came over went over the process and finalized the supply list. The next day I received a call to set up the install. I had to put it off for a week because of work and other commitments. They showed up promptly and were extremely respectful. The day of the install they worked as a team and installed it rather quickly and were done before 4:00. With the exception of the new equipment you would have never known they were there after they left. They answered all my questions and went over the total install. Ironically, a couple of days later my 7 year old water heater started leaking. I originally called the company who installed it (Brennan) since it was under warranty. They sent a technician to verify what I already knew. After a brief phone conversation the following day they seem disinterested in helping and told me it wouldn't be until 06/02/2016 before they could do anything. After already going two days without hot water I called CM on the morning of May 27th. They were extremely helpful and had a crew at my house at 1:00 as promised, and had the install of my new water heater done by 3:00. As always CM is head and shoulders above the competitors. Their prices are competitive and the customer service is excellent. They have earned my business for all my heating and cooling needs.

I got their name from a neighbor. I have no idea how competitive it was. I just went to them because I was told by my neighbor that they could fix my problem. We had to wait a while for parts. I don't know if that's their fault or not.

I purchased a home in June that had previously been fitted with a Gas fireplace. However, it seems that the previous owner fit one of two fireplaces for Gas; but there is no log/insert. We want to learn what we need to do to make the fireplace work again. We had a nice chat by email, and then by phone to schedule an appointment, which unfortunately was missed. In defence of CM Heating, I think my doorbell may be broken, and it's possible the representative only rang instead of knocking. When I called to reschedule, I explained my situation again, and the person on the phone told me that the original rep probably wouldn't have been able to help me anyhow, and he'd need to send a different fellow. So, we rescheduled for the following week. The rep cam on time, did a great job of explaining various options to my wife, and then asked for a service fee on his way out. The fee was somewhere between 140 and 170, I honestly do not recall. The fee was a shocker, as we hadn't previously discussed a fee, and I'd assumed that it would be free. I don't think I can recall a time previously when a sales person charged me for a call. When I called CM Heating back, they explained that because we had a partial installation they had to send a technician instead of a sales person, and that the tech charges for outcalls. OK, that's fine, but: - I wasn't told of the change in service type. - My email to the company, and later phone call, both mentioned that I had a partial unit. (The text italicized above was lifted from my original message exact). I believe that I was honest and upfront. I think something got lost along the way. As a compromise, CM Heating offered to deduct the service charge from the cost of the installation. That seems reasonable. Unfortunately, I have dealt with people in the past who have used an unnecessary upfront cost as a hook to secure the larger cost ("Well, you've already invested $xx, if you deduct that from our full service, we are a little cheaper than the competition.") and this felt a lot like that. Having been previously burned in this way, I opted not to go forward with the service. It's completely possible that there was a miscommunication; it's also possible that this is just a shady business practice. I don't want to take the risk on what is ultimately not a huge amount of money (the service fee was about 13% of the full cost of service). The company was very kind, and easy to deal with. And the products they are selling seem good. If you choose to use CM Heating, please just beware that the outcall may come with a fee.

I requested a second estimate for a more energy efficient furnace. I had talk to him that day, he said he will give it to me. A week later, he had not done it yet. That was inexcusable. All I asked for was an estimate for 95% energy efficient furnace. That is not good customer service.

They did a good job. The duct cleaning was sort of hurried up before they could fire it up. There were some shortcomings, but I can’t remember what they are anymore. With regard to price, I got PUD rebate. They were pretty good. I called them up. They got back to me and took care of the little things like plates and louvers. They had them and brought them with them; that was good. I would definitely use them again. In fact, I am going to have them do their yearly clean out servicing.

Two very hard working technicians were very punctual and persistent. They painstakingly removed a very long broken flue and replaced it with a pipe. Even though we are still working on getting the chimney to draw well.... we have been thoroughly pleased with their service. They came right out the next business day to trouble shoot the issue and worked to solve it. I have no doubt they will continue to return promptly if we have issues.

CM Heating is a fantastic company to work with! A few years ago we had them come out and service our heat pump and furnace when the company that installed them went out of business. We've been using them ever since. When our water heater started leaking we had them come out and install a tankless unit. They were fast, professional and thorough. When I smelled gas couple of days later, on a Saturday night, I called and they had someone out that night to fix it. It turned out that a washer on the unit was cracked and they quickly fixed it and we haven't had a problem since. We also have purchased their maintenance program for the heat pump and furnace (the new heat pump came with the maintenance agreement for the first year). With this program, if there is a problem with a covered appliance, they will come out the same day to look at it and there is no extra charge even if it is after hours. I love that they have a 24 hour emergency line! Also with the maintenance program, they come out once a year to inspect and service your appliances. They will call you to set up the appointment when it is time and if you don't call back they will try again for quite a while. I think it took me 2 months to finally call them back this year.

They did not call us as were were told they would. When we called them they said they didn't want to do the work. So we were charged $90 for a 15 minute "evaluation". What a scam! We called a reputable company from Angies list (Black Lion Heating in Kirkland) and they came out same day. We wasted 2 days with these yahoos.

Sunday morning emergency. No heat and coldest day of the year. They responded quickly. Performed service quickly. Steve was very helpful, explained the issue clearly and quickly got the furnace operating. He also told us about a part on our furnace that had been recalled. No November 26, 2013 In October we had a heat pump installed by CM heating (CM). The heat pump is located outside and under a covered patio. A couple weeks after the installation I noticed that the unit was leaking. This is perfectly normal for a unit to do this. However, the drainage from the unit was going out over our patio. CM was called and was asked to take a look at this issue. CM sent out one of their technician, CM sent out Corey who quickly understood the problem and resolve it in a very timely manner. Cm was efficient and demonstrated an on-going pride and professionalism when installing the new unit and following up on their customer's concern. This work ethic should always be acknowledged for a job well-done. Thank you, CM.

Casey was extremely prompt and informative during the entire process. The amount of time set aside to do the job ended up not being sufficient but he stayed until the job was completed. The insert was found to be smaller than the fireplace which required Casey to return a couple of weeks later with a frame to make a perfect fit. He made sure all was working well and answered all my questions (even the stupid ones!). Part of the deal was that my furnace fan would be connected to the thermostat (a detail the previous homeowner neglected)...C & M Heating sent out Corey to do this on the same day Casey returned with the framework for the fireplace, saving me having to set up additional appointments. During this process Corey found a minor leak under my house and took pictures to inform me. Something I would have never found as I routinely do not hang out in my crawl space. Although we had a minor misunderstanding as to what constitutes the sealing of the roof after the old chimney was removed, Casey stayed to make sure that it was sufficient to withstand leaks until a proper roof repair could be done. Overall the experience was very gratifying and my house is now warm and cozy!

We had left the previous bad review due to a suspected no-show. After the review and a voicemail, CM Heating contacted us and we came to the conclusion that there was a misunderstanding of the scheduled service date. Never having used this company before, we were unaware that they would call a day in advance of a scheduled appointment. We didn't receive a call the day before that we expected the appointment and thought that there was a no-show when the company did not arrive on the day we expected service. CM had the appointment scheduled for the following week. Bottom line, there was a misunderstanding about the date of service and CM was apologetic and sincere in wanting to keep the service date scheduled for the following week. The service itself was top notch and the CM technician Josh was very professional and helpful with his advice about our stove. I would recommend this company and will continue to use their services going forward.
