It went fantastic. They out bid two other outfits. They were here when they said they would be here and did a great job. The doors are working great.

We had originally ordered the non-insulated 1000 series, but they were all out of them on the scheduled day of installation, so they upgraded us for free and the doors only cost $1,233! Scott also swapped out the original opener that had been in the house for decades for a newer used opener that matched the one we had on the other side for $137 installed. Scott was very friendly and helpful and did a terrific job. Based on this experience with Access Garage Doors and Scott Johnson, we would highly recommend them. 

He was polite and professional from the bingeing to the end.  I used him twice, both had a wonderful experience.
Since we don't know anything about the garage door, he could rip us off, but he was so honest, we appraised his honesty and clean business as well as very professional work.  I highly recommend!!  Surely I will use him again.  And his is our GRAGE DOOR GUY forever he does the busies.  That how much he is good!  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Scott picked up materials and installed as scheduled, and he hauled away the old door.  Quality installation within about 4 hours.  Didn't require payment until job was completed.  Very satisfying experience!

Before the work even started, Scott provided a lot of useful information on doors and openers letting us make a well informed decision on what doors to choose and which openers. Scott easily provided the lowest estimate, but his knowledge and all of his free advice made us expect he would do the best job and we weren't wrong. As it turned out the door openings were off standard (a little larger in both width and height) and not straight either (higher on 1 side than the other). Scott had a lot of good advice to save us money on the non-standard doors. Installation wasn't easy with the uneven door openings and took an entire (long) day, but Scott did a fantastic job and the doors and openers are absolutely perfect. After all this I think it would have been reasonable for Scott to ask for some extra money, but he never even mentioned it and stuck with his original estimate. Scott's knowledge, work ethics and quality of work alone easily makes him the best choice for garage doors and openers. With the lowest price on top of that, makes it a no-brainer. My other garage will need a new door and opener some time in the near future and Scott will be my first and only call.

Talked to Scott on my first call describing the problem with my garage door.  He asked for manufacturer name on the door and the power lift and made a tenative diagnosis of the problem.  A day later he came by my house to confirm the problem and to detail exactly what would be needed.  We made an appointment for the following weekend (he did not charge extra for the weekend work).  Scott replaced the spring and related hardware and made sure everything was working perfectly.  He was prompt and efficient and charged me exactly what he had estimated.  I would definitely hire him again.

We had a dented garage door that needed to be fixed. A friend recommended Scott. The initial contact over the phone went well. He asked a lot of appropriate questions and we agreed on a price for the service call. He arrived promptly on the appointed day and in less than an hour, had the door fixed as much as he could. He also lubricated the door and did other minor repairs on his own, and then demonstrated what he had done and made suggestions regarding future maintenance. We did not have to replace the door, thanx to his help, and he ended up charging us less than the agreed amount. Overall a great experience and we would use him again if needed. Highly recommended.

Fantastic customer service and professionalism  as well as terrific pricing.  During the initial call I spoke with Scott who answered all my questions and gave me a complete rundown as to what I needed and, even more important, what I didn't need.  He then told me he would check around for prices and get back to me.  He called me back 30 minutes later with a complete rundown of make, models, and costs.  I made my selection and we chose a date for installation.  Scott appeared right on time on the selected date and went to work. On completion of the installation Scott explained the complete operation of the new garage door openers and demonstrated the manner in which the remotes worked and how the "home link" in one of my cars could be programmed for remote operation.  This was one of  the finest gentlemen I have ever dealt with.  The installation was highly professional.  At one point he discovered that the motor housing on one of the unit was dented and he immediately drove to the supplier to pick up a new one, returning to finish the installation. There was no additional charge for the extra time involved.  If I ever need any type of work on garage doors, this is the man and the company I would select.  I highly recommend Access Garage Doors to anyone in this area that is in need of friendly, competent, professional, garage door repair.

I first called Access about a year ago shortly after I bought the house knowing that we would want to replace the garage door opener since it had no safety features and we're planning on having pets and/or kids in the future. I called to get a quote on his Martin/Marantec doors and he spent a lot of time talking about the pros and cons of all door openers. There was no sense of pressure, he even pointed out ways that other brands would be sufficient even though he felt that his were the best.

Flash forward a few months later when it was time to do the repair and my phone call wasn't remembered by him, but it was by me. Having done more research in the mean-time, I was impressed by the reviews of the Marantec/Martin openers that I found and the price was about the same as I would pay to have another brand installed. Having felt so satisfied with the customer service I received, I gave Access a call and set up an appointment for the following week. He installed the door, did some maintenance and showed me a few things I could do to keep the door running smoothly. Considering that his primary business is garage door replacement (not openers), and my current garage door is old and uninsulated he could've easily tried to turn around and try to talk me into upgrading instead of showing me how to maintain the old one.

Scott was great, responsive, and most pleasant to work with. Had a less expensive bid but chose Access due to Scott's knowledge and willingness to make some adjustments to make everything work properly. Had two double-car garage doors installed with hardware, openers, remotes, etc. He recommended Martin openers which were included in price, and everybody who visits comments on how quiet these openers operate. Couldn't recommend Access any higher and will definitely tell everyone who asks how great our experience continues to be with these doors!

Access does the installation of the Martin Garage doors for Home Depot. They contacted me and came to measure and ensure all was ready. The installers were very knowledgeable about their product and very efficient in the installation. Access also sells these doors and if I had been able to get hold of them, would probably have purchased from them as thery know the product better. One of the doors came with weatherstripping that did not match the door and one of the installers checked to see if they had any in stock. They did not, but they are ordering and will change out when it comes in.

Fantastic! Scott and Jake, as well as their employees, are very professional and offer great suggestions. They couldn't have been nicer. We ran late on our end with installation and they were very flexible. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing new garage doors. I wouldn't even consider using anyone else in the future.

It went really well. They were very professional and showed up when they said they would. It was a little expensive because I went for a very good quality, so, I think it was worth it. The owner was very respectful, knowledgeable and took the time to explain a lot of good things.

I have nothing but good things to say about the doors and this company. Jake was great to work with. He is a great asset to this company. I constantly get remarks about how quiet my doors are; especially the large 10' x 16'. It is the first thing people remark about when they see the door open. If you are not looking at it you do not realize it is opening. Martin doors and openers rock.

The employee who was to come and assess the condition of the garage and take our door order quit unexpectedly the morning of our appointment. No one called to let us know that no one was available to keep the appointment. After I called to find out what happened I was told the owner was on vacation, but Scott came home and made it to our house the same day! The carpenter he recommended to demo and reframe the opening called the next morning. When the reframing was done and the door arrived they called and installed it very quickly. Unfortunately the installer unwittingly drove four screws all the way through the roof, but when we called Scott, he sent him back and the roofing was promptly patched up.

My experience with getting my garage door replaced wasn't without problems. The plan was to paint the door to match my home and I was assured the door was paintable. The Martin painting instructions state the finger guards are to be painted separately and are to be removed by the installer. The finger guards and the weather stripping were installed before I painted. This left white stripes showing behind the finger guards and up both sides when the door was opened. Access did work with me to get this resolved in order to get the door painted to my standards. I also find the paint scratches off easily despite following all painting and sanding instructions. My recommendation is to purchase a door color that does not require painting. There were also problems with a few missing bolts and door balancing by the initial installers. Access owners were excellent in correcting this as well.

My whole experience with Access Garage Doors was great. Darrick was very helpful and patient when answering all my questions. Ryan, who installed the doors, was very professional and courteous and worked all day to get my doors installed, was at my home from 9 until 5. Everyone I dealt with was very prompt and responsive. We are so happy with our new doors and would recommend Access Garage Doors to anyone.

I met Scott and his brother Darrick at the Expo Center Home Show. They own the business and have a show room on Burnside. They helped to select a door and called right away when the door arrived. They were exceptionally responsive and exceeded my expectations. They were also a lot less expensive than I expected.
