"This customer started her project with a poor choice of location which required a large sub- excavation to get to original grade. The soils engineer required hand removal of all rocks over 4 dia. Or 100% import. Substantially cheaper to remove the rocks. First change order. Notice was provided with a rough estimate. Work was performed with no mark- up at cost. Then the customer wanted a berm with her extra dirt. The customer changed the skew of her lot pad. The customer added footings to our work quality. Then the customer wanted the berm moved. Rough estimate was given for all extra work and the amounts did not exceed the estimates .I perf"
"We went back several times to make this customer happy for free. She would invent something that she did not like and we finally just had to tell her that we were not coming back for free anymore. She sued us and lost in arbitration. We did an excellent job for her. She was just the one customer that you should never work for. Her statements were blatantly false and the results of the arbitration reflected this. We were vindicated of any wrongdoing and there were zero dollars paid to her."
