ZEE ROOFING

Description of Work: I was referred to Zee Roofing by another company (not through AL). I spoke with Jack and setup an appointment to have them come out and look at the work I needed done. I was told James would be the person coming out to look. Never heard from them again.

Description of Work: Zee Roofing installed a torchdown roof on my home approximately seven years ago. Within 2 years, I started noticing water stains on the cedar ceiling in my living room, around the fireplace and also above a stairwell to the lower level of the house. I called Jack Zapara, owner of Zee Roofing, who came out and said nothing was wrong. I had another roofer look at the roof, and he told me that a defective vent had been installed in the roof above the stairway. I called Jack Zapara, and he sent someone out to install a new vent. The water stains continued to grow, and started spreading outward from the initial areas toward the center of the vaulted cedar ceiling. I called Jack again, he came and looked, and he had one of his employees install additional roof vents. The stains continued to grow, I called Jack, and once again Jack sent someone out to install more roof vents. I called Jack yet again, in 2015, telling him that the problem continued, and that my cedar ceiling was being serious damaged/stained by water. The water stain above my stairway at this point ran the entire length of the ceiling, approximately one foot from the wall (about 15 feet by 1 foot). The stains around my fireplace at this point ran outward from the fireplace approximately one foot. I also told him that I was concerned about water damage to the wood between the roofing material and the cedar ceiling, which I could not see. I told him that I felt a new roof needed to be installed on the section of the roof where this water damage has continued to expand, as the additional vents had not solved the problem. Jack told me that he didn't know what the problem was, that he would not come back to the house, and that he would not install a new roof. I called him again approximately a month later, left several messages, and he never returned my calls. I would never hire this roofer again. He advertises a ten year warranty, yet this appears to be meaningless since he doesn't stand behind his work.

Description of Work: Fixed a small hole in my torch -down roof, treated my entire roof with aluminum coating, fixed a problem downspout.

Description of Work: Put coating on my flat roof. He also put a larger downspout for me. He also cleaned the drain in the back part of the roof.
