The Window & Door Shoppe

I have nothing but positive things to say abt Mark, the sales rep for this company. The first time I met him, I found him very personable and down-to-earth. Just an all-around decent guy who is also humorous. Honest in all his assessments of the different types of patio door (Andersen, Marvin etc) and pretty much gave me a very good lecture abt everything I should know. I ordered an Andersen A series patio door from him and waited for a month for it to arrive (normal lead time!) and when the time comes, his installation crew is efficient and professional. He even toss in a free window installation for me.
The follow-up from Mark after job is completed is great as well. I have already recommended friends to go to this shop for any door/window services. And if I ever need anything door and window related, I will definitely go back to him. He's just such a pleasure to work with.

After receiving quotes from a few companies I felt Mark was very knowledgeable and easy to work with, plus their prices were the best of all three quotes. Overall we had them install one 8' sliding door and 14 windows. They also modified a window opening smaller, to accommodate a remodel project. They framed in the window very well, adding insulation to the new wall. We only had one minor complaint after installing the sliding door, they didn't install any trim to the floor where they cut the existing floor. After contacting Mark, their crew came in and placed a wood filler board across, completing the work. In a nutshell we were so impressed with their initial install of a few windows we had them come back two more times to finish up the remaining windows. They are a great company and also have a very nice, complete little showroom in Edmonds to help you decide. They were accommodating, patient and very skilled.

I liked the fact they had a showroom and lots of products to choose from. Mark was pretty knowledgable about the products, had to look up the warrantee for us. After install there were a couple of dings on the doors and the windows, which is probably normal during transport and installation. We are still waiting on a seal replacement and a window screen replacement. The staff were all very nice , experienced and professional. The actual installs went great, on time and budget. They only reason they don't get an a+ is we thought for the money once the products went in we would be done. Instead we had to stain some trim around the door, and paint around the windows too. (We didn't think we were going to have to do any of that and were a little disappointed to be heading to Lowe's...It couldn't be helped, but for the money, we didn't want to have to do anything.)

Josh at the Window and Door Shoppe was responsive both via phone and email. It took some time to get him out, but that was simply because he was busy and I was busy. When the glass in my very large window needed to be replaced, but scheduling to install became a challenge, Josh got another local (and excellent) glass company to do the install. Everything went great!

They did good with our windows and doors. The staff was also good and their price is very competitive. There wasn't anything negative about the company.

Overall their prices were very competitive. Very knowledgable. Low pressure. The workmanship was stellar. Very informative. What I liked the most was that there was no pressure. They catered to my needs. Every part of the process was an A+.

We obtained several bids. The Window and Door Shoppe not only had the lowest bid, the salesman was very professional in the presentation and write up. He listened to what we wanted and was very detailed in the bid. The workers were very efficient and tidy (covered living room rug with drop clothes and protected other surfaces). They also did a great job of cleaning up. The new doors are great The only minor complaint was how long we had to wait from the bid until the installation of the doors.

This company was recommended to us by the construction company we hired to do our remodel. Our contractor gave them the measurements for the opening and then told us to go in and pick out our windows. We went there on a Saturday with our 4-year-old and waited about 30 minutes for the one sales person to get around to us. When I told him our construction company name and that we were told to come in that day the sales person had no idea of what we were talking about and spent several more minutes looking for the paperwork the construction company supplied. We picked out the windows we wanted and the style of mullions and placed the order. The order came in late and when they got here the contractor called to tell me they were the wrong size. This company ignored the dimensions the contractor had given them and ordered them straight out of the book, which were too large for the framed opening. I called them to ask why they had done this and they answered "well you signed the order."

We are extremely pleased with our new windows and with the work that Mark and his team has done. We were having our kitchen remodeled at the same time and Mark worked with the re-modelers to make sure the new kitchen windows were just right. The work is top notch. All was not glitch-less, of course, but Mark has made sure the final outcome is exactly right. Marvin windows are pricey, but I think they are well worth it.

We had a few issues with them with the installation such as they didn't do a good clean up when they were finished. Also the bottom floor plate of the door wasn't in the right place but they did resolve all these things before they were completely finished. I am overall pleased with my experience.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY IS NOT THE GREATEST. I LOVE THE PRODUCT THAT WAS INSTALLED BUT THEY DID NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT WHEN I HAD A PROBLEM. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS NOT THE GREATEST.
