Very well - stayed on track and timeline. Dan was very good at providing solutions or explaining options and was willing to work out details for satisfactory solutions. This was the fourth major project for this company - that I contracted. His tiler Matt is amazing and very professional on all his tasks. If your lucky enough to get on his calendar don’t hesitate to sign him up for the job!

Dan is an exceptional contractor. His communication is thorough and very detailed. I had met with roughly 5 other contractors before Dan to bid our basement work and all of them left me feeling uneasy. After Dan's walk-through with me to bid the work, I was sold. I knew he would complete the work to a level that met our expectations and he absolutely delivered on that expectation. His crew is all wonderful and very professional. Matt did a stunning job on the new tile for our fireplace, and is very nice as well. We have an older home, and there were a lot of funny little quirks that Dan had to work around, but he came to me with every situation and talked me through the options and made recommendations for what would look best. I very much appreciated his open communication and making sure we were really happy with every detail! We love our new basement and doors and we have already committed to hiring him again for our entire main floor remodel, including kitchen. Spencer Home Solutions is the best contractor I've worked with, you can't go wrong hiring Dan!

We originally met Dan when we were looking for someone to do our full kitchen remodel. Dan was really great to work with and provided a full estimate for the job. During the remodel as issues were found, and in a 52 year old house issues will be found, he would fully explain the situation and provide us with multiple options on how to resolve them. Dan and his team were excellent to work with and were always mindful of limiting the impact to the rest of the house and family during the entire remodel. Since the remodel we have hired Dan to perform other plumbing work at our house and most recently install all new baseboards in our house when we replaced the carpet. I will continue working with Dan for any future projects we plan on doing in our house, big or small.

Dan Spencer and Spencer Home Solutions have been AMAZING to work with on our home remodel projects. Up to this point, we have hired Dan and his crew to remodel our basement, which included removing our old basement ceiling and replacing lighting and drywall, installing new interior/exterior basement doors, new floor and window trim, removing our old gas fireplace and installing a new gas fireplace insert, which included covering our brick wall with new stone tile and adding a live edge wood mantle. The fireplace remodel also included mounting a large TV and running cable/electrical to a dedicated media space/center. After the basement remodel, we hired Dan and crew to install new exterior front and side doors for our house, and install a large, live-edge mantle for our wood-burning / brick fireplace in our living room. We could not be happier with the work Dan and his crew have done on all projects to date. Dan's attention to detail with the work, his detailed and accurate quotes, and his communication for remodel options, changes, issues, etc., are all top-notch. We are hiring Dan and Spencer Home Solutions to do our main-floor living, dining and kitchen remodel next, with plans for other room updates and bathroom remodels after that. Once completed, Dan and his crew will have basically remodeled the entire interior of our home, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results and quality work that they do. We HIGHLY recommend Spencer Home Solutions for any home remodel projects you may need.

Absolutely impeccable company and workmanship. Dan Spencer (owner) is a perfectionist, and he was precise with bid, schedule and project specs. He is extremely articulate in how he speaks and how he explains things. His team remodeled our terribly outdated master bathroom and every detail is gorgeous. No surprises whatsoever. His team works quickly and cleanly, and they are super polite and easy to have around. His tile specialist, Matt, is super-skilled, and also a perfectionist. Every time there was a decision to be made, Dan made sure we thoroughly understood our options so we could make an informed choice. Several times, I *thought* I knew what I wanted, but when we talked it out, I went with his recommendation, and in every case it was the correct choice. This is a great example of why a superior company does not need to advertise; word-of-mouth is the best advertising. Next, Spencer is going to retile our ugly fireplace brick, and we plan to have them do another bathroom, too.

Dan completed our project on time and within budget, despite weather delays and material delivery delays. When the wrong cabinets were delivered (a significant portion of the project), Dan worked with the cabinet company to fabricate, deliver and install the correct cabinets within a week, with some expense to him. The Spencer crew are excellent professionals, and we want to call out especially Matt who is a perfectionist and tile artist. Dan also identified and corrected several plumbing problems, some unrelated to the project. We had less expensive bids, but the quality of Spencer's work was well worth the price. We will definitely hire Spencer again for other remodeling projects.

This was a better experience than I expected. Dan Spencer was patient and helpful with recommendations. I do not enjoy making the decisions necessary for this kind of work and I appreciated his input. I also appreciated that he kept expenses to the agreed-upon amount. I could not have asked for a better team. They communicated well, paid great attention to detail and I always knew the schedule and what to expect. Everyone was friendly, courteous and made an obvious effort to be as unobtrusive as possible.

Our kitchen remodel was something that we’d longed to do for years. We’d talked to several contractors and kitchen remodel specialists, but we chose Spencer Home Solutions based on a combination of reviews and meeting Dan Spencer. Whereas many contractors seemed to be “take your money and give you a package,” Dan involved us in every step and every decision. Every one of his team was friendly, professional, and a craftsman who took pride in the work. It was not an inexpensive project, but it was worth every penny. When I look around my expanded kitchen, I see the kitchen that I’d hoped we would get, and we did.

While getting a dishwasher installed we found out our existing plumbing was not only NOT up to code but was potentially unsafe with the potential for sewage to backup into our dishwasher! Unfortunately based on the location of the plumbing the fix was going to require taking out cabinets, counters and some flooring. We had dreamed about doing a full remodel anyway so we decided to go for the whole thing. We'd had Spencer Home Solutions do several other jobs for us in the past (water heater, furnace) and found their prices to be more than fair and the quality of their work to be outstanding. We actually trusted them so much we didn't even shop around or get other estimates. Going in we didn't really have a clear picture of what we wanted. The folks at Spencer Home Solutions listened to our ideas and worked with us to come up with a plan that we really liked. At every step of the way they clearly explained our options, what that would mean for cost, timing and what other impacts that would have. The remodel itself was a TOTAL remodel, down to studs and flooring. There's no walls between our kitchen and our living room\dinning room. Amazingly they were able to section off the construction area so despite all the work going on in the kitchen there was very little impact to the rest of the house. While the remodel was going on every member of the crew was professional but friendly, to be honest we kind of miss having them around. It's been several months since the remodel completed and we couldn't be happier with the result. Dan and his crew genuinely care about the quality of their work and made sure we were happy with everything before calling the job complete. I get the impression that they work every job as though they were doing the work on their own home, that's the kind of care and effort you can expect from them.

Professional service. Very detailed work on our tile backsplash and kitchen plumbing. We are very happy with their work and will hire again for future projects.

We were very pleased with the quality of craft, communication, professionalism, adherence to established schedule, and high standards that Dan Spencer maintains. The bid was based on a visit to our house to discuss the project and in the early stages of work a new plan was required as we discovered that the joists in our floor ran counter to original assumptions. This new plan did not affect cost or schedule which is a testament to Dan's professionalism and capable expertise. Dan is creative in finding solutions, is thorough with attention to detail, and has excellent communication skills. We never had to ask for him to follow up on anything and felt his standards are very high. We would hire Dan again and would recommend him to others.

Very happy with the quality of the work and the care Dan took to minimize the chaos. He was able to provide good insights on design ideas and how best to meet my goals. We only ended up with minor adjustments and no surprises on cost vs estimate. Wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

My plumbing project went GREAT! Originally I was scheduled for 2 days, but they were able to finish in one day. From the moment I started to engage with Spencer Home Solutions to the moment they left, it was very easy. They do great plumbing work and I would hire them for their other services too based off of my experience and the work they did.

It was a big job. We have worked with Dan before on a smaller project several years ago, so we knew he was professional and does quality work. Him and his team won't steer you wrong. The do things right. With such a big project they helped us make decisions that would be right for us. You can tell Dan loves what he does. The price is reasonable and realistic. You are getting what you pay for.

Dan replaced a gasket in the shower to stop the leak. Mike followed up by repairing the ceiling.

Perfectly. Office staff was responsive. Estimate was provided in writing, prior to work being scheduled. Unknowns/variables were clearly detailed beforehand. Scheduling was responsive to our needs. Work began on time and finished on time, even though some "unknowns" proved to require extra work. Pulled toilet and vinyl-tile flooring. Cut out and replaced rotted flooring and section of sub-floor. Replaced flange on toilet, and put down new vinyl-sheet flooring. Resealed and reseated toilet. Replaced caulking around tub. Follow-up appointment put on the finishing touches. Very pleased with the quality of work. A bit pricey, but worth the extra for the service and quality.

Spencer Home Solutions exceeded our expectations! From our initial contact with Dan through final photographs, Dan and his entire team were professional, prompt and conscientious. The quality of their work is outstanding. From Matt and Bryan who were in our home each day for tile, wallpaper removal, cabinet work and final clean up to Mike who left us with gorgeous painted walls, the entire team works hard all day and then leaves you with as little mess as possible. You and your home will be treated with respect by true professionals. Dan has an excellent eye for design, and gave us many good suggestions on the refresh of our master bath. Throughout the project, Dan communicated with us on timelines and cost, in addition to what work would be performed when. We especially appreciated the many clarifying questions to ensure our expectations were always being met. He answers emails promptly and is happy to give suggestions to help control cost while maximizing impact. We had a few unexpected surprises, namely stubborn wallpaper and a water heater that died mid-project. Dan was very accommodating to adding additional work and was still able to keep our project on schedule. We look forward to having Spencer Home Solutions on future home projects!

Dan, Matt, and Brian were excellent. Dan helping us make good decisions about what products to use and kept us informed of the timing throughout the project. We now have a bathroom we want to keep uncluttered because it looks so good!

The experience was excellent. Dan Spencer and his crew were professional and completed the work as promised. Our bathroom remodel was even more beautiful than I had expected. I would not consider asking any one else to do remodeling for us after we had the exceptional work done by Spencer Solutions.

Great.  Dan was very communicative throughout the process. He was reliable and did exactly as he said he would.  He was great at listening to what we wanted and provided suggestions when asked.  He provided options for all the details.  The project was able to start earlier than predicted due to some schedule changes he had, and was very open about what the timeline would be.

It went very well.  Dan Spencer and his crew were all very professional and easy to work with.  Dan has a lot of integrity and was always responsive and helpful throughout the project.  The work was a little slow, and somewhat expensive, but the quality was extremely high.

After calling three other plumbers who could not come out until the end of the week, Dan Spencer was able to fit us into his  schedule that day.  He competently fixed the drain mechanism which was at least 35 years old until it worked perfectly. I hope to get another 35 years out of it but if not, I know who to call.  I would recommend Spencer Home Solutions unequivocally.

We have a single bathroom home. Our three priorities were quality, an accurate estimate and length of time. We wanted to be without a toilet for as short a time as possible, obviously. Dan and his crew hit all three targets efficiently and as promised. I want to say that having strangers in your home for an extended time period is sometimes a concern for people. Those concerns were simply not an issue here because all the guys we encountered were professional, polite and very easy to spend time with. I only have the highest regard for the people we dealt with at every step. The job was large but completed as quickly as possible. By the end of the second day we had a restructured, solid wood floor in place. I could easily see the work was of the highest quality and, I suspect, will last the lifetime of our home. The second two days were spent leveling the floor, prepping and laying tile. The tile used and the quality of work were better than we ever could have imagined. We LOVE our bathroom now. I have not one single gripe about any of it. Every detail is absolutely perfect. The final day brought us our toilet back and final detail work. Every promise was kept, every original time line was met. the pricing estimate was right on and we were kept aware of all aspects of the job during the course of repairs. Dan kept his word in every regard and will definitely be our long term contractor for the future. I can honestly give anybody our highest recommendation for Spencer Home Solutions.
