SMILEY DOG

I have used Smiley Dog at least a few times a year since 2001, and for the past couple of years I have had a regular automatic delivery set up with them, every two weeks. We have seven cats and feed them a frozen raw food product called Primal. This is available at Whole Foods and at a few selected pet stores, but there is absolutely no more convenient way to get it than ordering from Smiley Dog. Their prices are very competitive even before you factor in the free delivery, and every interaction with their staff is a pleasant one. They have cat litter, treats, a wide variety of dry and canned foods, and many items they do not carry regularly can be specially ordered. It is easy to interact and refine your order/delivery via their website or by email, and they are a small enough company that they can be flexible and make the customer's needs their touchstone.
If you are within their delivery zone, give them a try--and go to their own website to find this out. When I pulled them up on Angie's List to put in this review, I was surprised to see that it said they don't provide services in my area: not true!

Excellent service! I have used them for many years. I usually order by phone, but it can be online too. When I ordered by phone I was able to ask them about certain products and receive recommendations etc. I order dog food, treats, training aids, diapers or absorbent pads, toys....you name it. Their prices are great and their services are wonderful. I sometimes order raw frozen food and it is delivered right to our door and carried in to the freezer. The pricing is great and important to me since I do a lot of dog rescue and need to watch my expenditures.
