Very good workers; the supervisor does supervise; his helpers are pleasant and hard working.  I too love the way they make roses of the toilet paper!  I don't know what they do to the chrome in the bathroom, but it doesn't seem to get water spotted after they have cleaned it.  I am very thankful to have found them.  It was helpful of Angie's List to have so many details in the listings so that I could find the type of company I wanted.

I've been using MFR service for almost 2 yrs and this review is long overdue. I have been very happy with this company. The company owners - Lissette and her husband, initially came to our home and listened to what I needed from their service (I had learned a few things from my first previous house cleaning service that I used a few yrs prior) and on each point, they have come through 100 percent. I wanted the same team out each time - i needed them to thoroughly vacuum our furniture each visit (we have a few furry critters) etc and so on...i ttrust them in my home - they have never missed an appt., Lissette had been very understanding and accommodating when I have needed to cancel or adjust appt times for whatever reason. They do a great job - and I would readily recommend their service to others. I did take one point off for the price, because I think that many services may charge a little less... But I think they've been worth the little extra they charge in contrast to other cleaning services...

It went fantastic! I didn't have them clean my whole home, but they cleaned several area at my request. I plan on continuing to use them from now on. They showed up a couple minutes early, very careful not to damage anything and my furniture is glistening so much I can barely stand it! I have no complaints, I can only give them the highest rating.
If you need a good house cleaner, Mother for Rent is IT! They are the best I have ever had. I am so happy I went with them. My shower stall is so clean and sparkling, it looks brand new.

The do a great surface cleaning, but they are not thorough. I would have to point out cobwebs. After the first month, I noticed the pink slime around the drain of my sink. I pointed this out and it was taken care of. However, after six months of cleaning, there was spots of black mold growing in my shower (and the pink slime in the sink). I took care of most of the spots and sent picture to the owners. The responded quickly and told me they would be more thorough. Plus, they were throwing out garage bags without tying them off. Well, the spots that I left for them to find were still there. If you want cleaners who will scrub, go elsewhere.

They are very nice and professional. They come do a free estimate and I have been using their service since November. They are competent and I love the clean house. I would recommend them to everyone as they are very good at what they do.

Lisette and Carlos both came and gave an estimate for an initial clean and bi-weekly services. The pricing was fair and their initial service was pure perfection. They visit to clean Mom's basement apartment every other week and consistently perform beyond expectation!

I like Mother for Rent a lot. The business is owned by a couple, Lissette and Carlos. Lissette runs the business and Carlos does the cleaning. They've been to my house three or four times over the past year both for deep cleans and for 'regular' cleans, and I've been quite happy with their work each time.

Lissette and Carlos came to do a walk-through and get the details of what should be cleaned and ask questions on what types of cleaning supplies would be okay to use. (If I had a favorite brand or didn't want a bleach-water solution, I could supply my own.) We don't wear shoes in our house so I asked that they wear booties on their shoes which they are doing. I asked for the same cleaning team each time (once every 3 weeks) so the cleaners could become familiar with my house and know where there may be any issues. I really like that Carlos is there to help clean and then does a quality inspection! I love the follow-up Lissette has done to ensure the cleaning has been to our satisfaction and to find out if there are any issues that need to be addressed. I think this is a first rate cleaning company!

The evaluation and quote process was smooth - the team was on time, professional and polite. They quoted both an initial deep clean and a regular housekeeping price, based on the size of the house (2400 sq. ft.) and the cleaning rotation I asked for (the rooms we don't use as often were cleaned less frequently). The price was fair and reasonable, in line with other quotes I had received, and I wanted to give this small, family run business a chance.

The deep clean was great - the house sparkled! Everything was clean (maybe too much - the bathrooms were almost overwhelmed with bleach odor). The issue was that the regular cleanings didn't seem to keep it that way. Things were missed. On one visit, shower wasn't completely cleaned and I had to request that they come back and do it. On another visit, the sink wasn't cleaned and I had to request they come back and re-clean it. On yet another visit, neither the sink nor the shower was cleaned, and it was starting to look like things were just getting and quot;wiped downand quot; and not actually cleaned. The smell of cleaner wasn't present anymore. The owners always offered to come and make it right,* but I hire housekeepers because I'm too busy with my job to worry about whether the house is getting cleaned sufficiently and I didn't want to add to my current workload by becoming a de facto inspector and supervisor. They were apologetic and professional when I asked for my key back and said I would no longer use the service.

*the last cleaning, which prompted me to terminate the relationship, did not result in an offer to come and correct the missed areas, despite already paying for the work.

Overall, I'd recommend for a one time clean, but cannot recommend for regular housekeeping until they fix the issues with consistent services.

WOW! Best money I ever spend on myself. They totally gutted and cleaned my embarrassingly dirty home. We have a huge picture window in the living room that I was planning on replacing because I could never get it clean and they did and quot;magicand quot; cleaning on this huge window and it’s like new again! And my bathroom shower – it’s so clean, it looks like it was just installed. I don't know how they did this cleaning magic but I consider these folks my new weapon in my fight for a clean home. I am so thankful!

Mother for Rent is fantastic! Carlos, Lissette and the team are awesome.
First, we had a one time deep cleaning. The whole house sparkled! From the baseboards to the blinds and from the ovens to the shower heads, everything was cleaned very well. They are amazingly detailed in their cleaning. We were so delighted that we have them provide routine cleaning service. They provide cleaning services on Saturday which is wonderful for our schedule. I can't describe how nice it is to step into a clean house with all the beds made, the bathrooms clean, the kitchen spotless, etc. We highly recommend them!!

Carlos and Lissette came and talked with me, looked at the house, and gave me an estimate for cleaning. We set a date and Carlos came with Maria. I was VERY pleased with the job that they both did that day. They cleaned everything they were asked to clean. We will gladly have them back once a month to clean. I will recommend them to anyone wanting a recommendation for a professional, friendly housecleaner.

The owners, Carlos and Lissette, were very prompt when they came to give us an estimate. While assessing the amount of work, they were very thorough and professional. We ended up asking them to do a one-time, very thorough, cleaning of the house as well as setting up routine cleaning visits once a month.
The work itself was very well done. The whole house was cleaned well and the wood floors were mopped with the appropriate soap. We've confirmed with them that we want them to start coming once a month.
The cost of the monthly cleanings for our house will be approximately $160. They charge on a sliding scale, based on frequency. It would cost less per visit if they came weekly or biweekly.

We LOVE Mother for Rent. I recently broke my foot and am looking at a 6-8 week recovery. So we used Angie's List to find a cleaning service. We picked this company because of the excellent reviews and the clever name. We were able to set up an appointment within a day of when we first called to get a walk-through and an estimate. Carlos and his wife (they run the business together) came to the house and asked lots of great questions about exactly what we wanted done, including what kind of cleaning products we wanted them to use.. They thoroughly explained their services and the costs. We set up a date for the deep cleaning a week later On the day of the deep cleaning, Carlos and his crew were on time and got right to work. The entire deep cleaning took from about 9 AM to about 4 PM and wow, did the house look great. Shelves dusted, cobwebs banished, carpets vacuumed, bathroom and hardwood floors mopped, garbage emptied. In the kitchen, in addition to cleaning floors and counters, they cleaned the oven, toaster oven, and microwave. And Carlos even cleaned the outside of our big front picture window (without be asked) just because he felt it needed it. (And of course he was right; the outside of the window hadn't been cleaned in ages!). What a difference it made in brightening up the front room. They even do little touches like doing a decorative fold on the toilet paper rolls (like you might find in a hotel) and thoughtfully fluffing and arranging the throw pillows so everything looks polished and pretty. And they were very kind and careful about working around me, since I was still bedridden and recovering from surgery. We were so happy with the results that we scheduled them to come back 2 weeks later for a basic cleaning. Carlos and his crew arrived today about 15 minutes early (! -- I love that!) and again are working thoroughly and efficiently doing all of the basics -- dusting, vacuuming, mopping. Today we asked them to change the sheets on both beds, and we are paying a little extra to have the refrigerator and freezer wiped out. There is no doubt that we will be using Mother for Rent for all of our cleaning needs. What a professional, pleasant, and reliable team! We highly recommend them.

I have used Mother for Rent several times now. They are always responsive, even at very short notice they try to accommodate. They are courteous, thorough, hard working, and always go the second mile. I believe the price is very reasonable, and it is not likely that I could find a better service at any price.

I have tried quite a few cleaners, and this is definitely my best experience.
Lisette is very responsive and she and Carlos came out the next day to visit after I contacted them. They did a very thorough deep clean first and now come every three weeks (which most cleaners won't do). I can text Lisette any time and she is super responsive about texting back. They give you quick quotes on special projects that you want done like window washing, etc. They even do yard work. They have a cleaner called Maria who is excellent and I am always pleased with the cleaning job they do.
Highly recommend them – very reliable, thorough, trustworthy and responsive. Here is what they do that other cleaners I have had do not:

Clean thoroughly – under beds, TV stands,islands, etc. My last cleaner actually had the nerve to tell me that I needed a and quot;maid serviceand quot; if I wanted cleaned under the bed and that they only did and quot;speed cleaning!and quot; (whatever that is).

Spotless floors, absolutely spotless

Really clean toilets – even under the rims which most cleaners don’t do! This is my pet peeve and they impress every time.
Make the beds like a hotel room! Pillows perfectly lined up and you can bounce a dime on the bed.
Lots of nice little touches like making little paper roses out of your toilet paper roll – it really does feel like you are in
hotel room that has been cleaned professionally and very thoroughly
I asked them to clean the fridge which was a bit extra and they also cleaned the freezer which I was not expecting. It looked brand new, I really don't know they did it.
They organize things as they clean – they don’t just clean around things. They stack things, papers, etc. and tidy clutter up.
Most cleaners just clean around the clutter.
They even ran the dishwasher for me, was not expecting that! Nice surprise!
They are very reasonably priced and do a fantastic job each time.

When I lived in New York, I had a wonderful cleaning lady who never had to be told what to do - she just did it. When I had originally interviewed her, I
knew I had found the right person when, upon asking what cleaning supplies she needed, the first thing she asked for was a toothbrush.
Upon moving to Seattle couple of years ago, we hired a cleaning service from a mailer we had received. We never know who was going to come and even the good ones didn't pay much attention to detail. The bad ones would leave after four hours even if they hadn't finished everything. We finally decided to make a change.
This past weekend, I reviewed 56 A rated housecleaning services and decided to interview four. Lisette had originally said she couldn't interview until Wednesday but when I called her late Tuesday she agreed to come over with her husband (Carlos - who brought their baby along too) later that day. Lisette runs the business and Carlos does the cleaning with a team of four other people (including a manager). I had originally been impressed by the fact that every one of their 12 ratings had been a straight A. Upon meeting them, I was impressed by their professionalism and the fact that Lisette asked many questions and took extensive notes. It was also obvious that they were very nice people.
Unlike all the other interviewees, they were comfortable with the concept of quoting a flat monthly fee that encompassed everything that needed doing that month; realizing that not everything needs to be done every month. Not only do I like the idea of not having to tell them what to do (after all, they can see dirt and dust at least as well as I) but I also appreciated the unsolicited offer of a $20 Senior discount. They also offered to come back that evening (and did, with their manager) to meet my significant other. She was also impressed. Based on their initial effort (which took seven man hours until Carlos was satisfied) we are delighted with our choice!

I called Mother's for Rent to get an estimate and Lissette and Carlos came out that same day and did a walk-through. They gave me an estimate of 3 people for 9 hours = 27 man hours for $600.00. I felt very comfortable with both of them immediately and trusted them. The team showed up yesterday even before the 8:00 start time and got right to work. I have to say that I live on a small farm with several horses, lots of mud and a huge Newfoundland dog who sheds a lot and tracks in all sorts of debris. This house is always full of traffic and commotion so there was A LOT of cleaning to do - more than I can do by myself. The team worked very quickly and efficiently and never once did I see them waste time.
My house sparkled! When I did the final walk through I had to keep from crying. I was so happy. There was not one spot on the walls, not one speck of dust. The shower doors were covered with hard water deposits and they are all spotless as are the sinks and toilets which had mineral stains (we have a well). They even took apart my espresso machine and made it look new again. (That's detail!) My appliances look new again. My butcher block counters look new again! My plank floors look new again!!
I can't say enough. I wish I could give them ratings higher than and quot;A'sand quot;. They didn't get done in the time allotted and stayed an extra hour and a half (which I was not charged for). We are so overjoyed that we are going to get on a regular schedule with them. I've had a lot of cleaning companies in the past but NEVER have I felt like this.
We thought the estimate was a bit high at first but we definitely got out moneys worth and so much more. I don't think it's often these days to get this kind of service. Often you hire people and the work is just adequate or below par. It's so nice to hire someone and be this happy. A+++++++ for work ethic. A++++++++ for everything! Thank you Carlos! I am one very happy customer.

I have worked with a few of the organized cleaning services when I've had the funds since I've lived in Maltby, and Mother for Rent is by far the best of the group, in my experience.
From the first contact by email to the completion of this job Lisette and Carlos and their people were stellar. They were prompt, courteous, encouraging, and supportive. I have worked with cleaning people who made me feel bad for being messy, and I've worked with some who were just uncomfortable people to have in your home-- these two, and their assistant Mary, made the house better just by standing in it. You can feel their kindness from the moment you meet them. They're here to help.
They estimated the job reasonably, set a time to come out, and were happy to use the products I prefer in the house. They asked about things like whether I minded the use of bleach, and I liked it that they cared about my preferences.
The work started on time, and because my office is in the barn out back I was in and out during their working hours here and can attest that Carlos and Mary worked without stop the whole time. They cleaned EVERY where, and really thoroughly, and with such a good will. We are extraordinarily messy and it took a little longer than they'd thought, and they did not complain or cut the time short. They apologized for the amount of time it took, asked if I minded them staying on, and simply got it done.
The house was cleaner than I'd expected, and they did little things like arrange the baby's toys that they found in the living room in a child friendly way-- so even the two year old felt taken care of. When the family walked through the house, people kept saying and quot;Hey! Look at this!and quot; every nook and cranny was so clean, and every little thing so nicely laid out.
I am very glad to have found them, and will really look forward to having them back regularly. Their rates for routine cleaning are great, and they are flexible about scheduling and respectful of my time as well as of theirs.
I have much more energy available and my house feels like MY home again, instead of a dustbunny convention.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I really enjoy working with the Mother for Rent team. They are easy to work with and really do a good job cleaning. I had used a another and quot;nation wideand quot; cleaning company (for 4 years) before I more to WA state; they did not provide the and quot;sparkling cleanand quot; feeling that Mother for Rent provides. The team usually has at least one person who speaks fluent English. The team are very flexible to work with; for example, the carpeted area from the garage to the house was getting dirty and tracking dirt into the house - they gladly vacuumed for me so I don't have to take out the vac. cleaner for this one little thing. I really feel they truly want their clients to be happy with their service and are willing to work with you to ensure your satisfactions.
