MOSS BOSS®

Work ultimately went well, once it was completed. Work was delayed about two weeks, partially due to weather. A few days were scheduled for the work but was cancelled late in the day (or simply a no-show). Communication regarding the delay could have been better. I'm hoping the scheduling and communication snafus were just an exceptional case due to intermittent showers. We've got a followup scheduled for later this year, and hopefully that will go better!

It went well, although the communications getting things going were, shall we say, less than optimal. I didn't know when he was going to come, and he showed up at my door a little over a week after my initial call, unannounced. Fortunately, it was a good day for him to be there. He and his helper were very genial, worked hard, and got the project finished quickly and extremely well. I would definitely use him again.

He removed the debris from the roof, and the gutters. He chemically treated with moss chemical. It is the second time I have used him. The reason I like using him, because he give me good advice on how to treat the problem. He is very friendly. He will sit there and crack jokes with you all day if you let him. We have friends in common as well.

He came out on such short notice to clean our roof and gutters, which had a ton of debris.  He responded in a timely fashion and was great to work with throughout the entire process.  He provided clean, quality work.

He checked all the gutters, cleared a downspout, made suggestions for repairs - spent about 30 minutes and didn't want payment.
I paid him for his time anyway!  I willl have Walter take care of cleaning my gutters from now on.

My home is quite tall and they were able to reach very difficult places that was too difficult for me to do. I have used his service in the past and have always been impressed. Very well, prompt and good value.

Picture this -- we have just moved into our new house, totally exhausted by all
the stress of moving, get ready to welcome the Seattle rain.... and
when it does come, there’s water leaking from the gutters onto our
windows. Furious at the previous owners for leaving us this, panicked
at how to fix this, we turn to Angie’s list for a suggestion of a gutter
repair person to call. We call Fritz at Sound Gutters, tell him the
problem, and he’s honest enough to tell us NOT to hire him, but just
have the gutters cleaned, and recommends Walter at Moss Boss.

So we call Walter.

It took around two weeks to get scheduled -- keep in mind this is late
November, when it seems *everyone* is having their gutters cleaned, but
we were anxious so this felt like forever -- but when he comes he does a
fantastic job. He cleans out a clogged elbow, fixes part of the gutter
when it is hanging low, and cleans all the gutters so clean I could
almost eat off it. I also really appreciate that he stayed *waaaay*
past dark to finish the job, although I was very worried about him on a
ladder, two stories up, in the dark, while it was raining. Part of the
job for a gutter cleaner, I guess.

And, sure enough, after he left, the leak was gone.

So thanks to Fritz for being honest and for the suggestion, apologies for
the bad thoughts to the previous owners when it was just a clogged
gutter, and most of all thanks to Walter for the great job.

Note that they do only *minor* repair to gutters. In our case, we had a couple foot stretch of gutter where the nails were coming lose and the gutter was hanging down, and he fixed that. They don't do more serious repair.

It went great and we are very, very pleased.

Will use for all my pressure washing needs - which around here happens every year

The job went very well overall.

I tried to clean my own roof, but when the ladder broke and I fell off, the wife forbid me to go up there again. Walter the Moss Boss came to the house and gave me an estimate for the roof and the large brick patio. He and his assistant worked for 2 days and did an outstanding job. He also gave me tips on how to prevent the moss from growing on the patio. Easy to work with, and we are highly satisfied. Cash or check is a little unusual, but no problem for us. Walter made that clear at the beginning, so we were ready for the bill.

I contacted Walter and he came out the next day, gave me a price, and two days later the work was completed. I have a semi-steep roof and am delighted I didn't have to go up on it. I will use Moss Boss for all my roofing, gutter, and pressure-washing work from now on. I highly recommend him to people who want quality, professional job.

Rick was great to work with. He arrived on time and did a very professional job of cleaning and treating the roof. He checked with us regularly to make sure it was what we wanted. A super job and very reasonably priced!

THE WORKER WAS EXTREMELY THOROUGH AND WORKED VERY HARD. HE WAS AT THE JOB FOR SEVERAL HOURS, AND CLEANED UP ALL THE MOSS AND DEBRIS THAT WAS BLOWN FROM THE ROOF. THE CLEAN-UP WAS METICULOUS! HE ALSO TOOK GREAT CARE TO PROTECT THE PLANTS AROUND THE HOUSE FROM HARM. THE WORKER WAS UNOBTRUSIVE, COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL. MR. STORER, THE OWNER, RETURNED AT A LATER TIME TO REPLACE ABOUT A DOZEN SHINGLES THAT WERE MISSING. HE WAS SLOW TO DO THIS, BUT IN HIS FAVOR, HE DID A GOOD JOB MATCHING THE SHINGLES WHICH ARE OLD AND DIFFICULT TO FIND. HE ALSO FIXED A PROBLEM WE HAD WITH ONE SECTION OF GUTTER. OVERALL, WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK. HOWEVER, WE DON'T KNOW IF THE TREATMENT WILL PREVENT MOSS FROM GROWING BACK BECAUSE IT HASN'T HAD THE TEST OF TIME YET.
