locksmith
 + -1 moreLocked out of the house and needed to get back in. used smartphone to locate closest locksmith in order to facilitate the process. Independent service tech showed up an hour later, and said i had a "special" lockset and it had to be drilled out. price jumped from the $70 quoted on the phone to well over $200. I believed it to be a difficult task and thus agreed to the service. The tech made it look difficult and drilled right through the lock core through to the bolt on the inside of the house. He drilled all of the insides out of the lock, not just the core and pins. He drilled through and mangled the bold mechanism. He then reamed the hold out so big that there was nearly nothing left, b/4 prying the bolt back.
Description of Work: Called in to have my front door lock picked. Cost quoted on the phone was $26 Service call + $29 to pick the lock. Tech showed up late, said my lock couldn't be picked and that he would charge $26 + $175 to drill out the lock. I failed to realized the "bait and switch" and didn't ask him (Israeli Tech) to leave, and agreed to pay. The tech spent an hour mis-drilling the lock and damaging the door, b/4 he opening the lock. As a test, I later used a drill myself on the back door (same lock type, as i needed to change them all). Tech asked me to call him direct if i needed a locksmith again 206) 349-001 (name "Shy" sp). I was completed the task in less than 10 minutes and I'm Not a locksmith. STAY AWAY from this company.
