Katy Bigelow

The past two years we have had limbs from two giant fir trees, fall on the deck of a small house we own.  We contacted a tree cutting service to determine what we should do.The tree cutting service we contacted recommended taking down the trees due to their vicinity to the house.  But they suggested we get a second opinion and gave us the name of a local aborist, Katy Bigelow.  Katy responded quickly and made an appointment to view the trees.   Some of our contact with Katy was done via email which made it easy to communicate since we are not available by phone during the day.Katy completed the assessment and worked with the tree cutting service to communicate the pruning plan.  The trees were effectively pruned in a way that didn't detract from their majestic  with no branches falling in the wind storms last winter. 

She is very good at what she does and offers great advice on tree care.

She doesn?t add anything to her fee. She is very thorough. She comes on time. She is extraordinary. She not only looked at the trees I had concerns with, but also three other similar trees; she reported on all of them. I had actually misidentified those trees as to what species they were. She spent time on identifying those trees to make sure I knew what those trees were. It?s important to know if those were dangerous species. She is very professional. She knows what she is doing. She gets right to work. She explains things in layman?s terms and not as an arborist. I would recommend that if you have any trees that you want to have assessed or a tree that?s at risk, you can contact her. She does a great follow up. I really didn?t expect her to get back to me after tracking down the species of the trees and providing me the information. She is excellent. She is above and beyond what you might expect. She I would use her in the future.
