KAS PAINTING

Kerry is a really nice guy, and his estimate was right in line with the others we got. His work was overall high quality, but his communication left a lot to be desired. On the day I thought he was supposed to come, he didn't show, and when I called him he said he had me down for the next day. After that, I realized I'd never gotten anything in email (writing) to confirm the day, only a text that was no longer on my phone. The next day he had to ask for my address again, because he hadn't put that info into the estimate (which was in email). When he asked me about colors he said he'd help me choose them, but when I gave him my colors he didn't say anything until after the first coat was on the house, and he said he thought I should've gone with satin for the trim instead of flat. He must deal with a lot of really touchy people, because I was expecting him to give me his opinion when I showed him the colors, but he probably assumed I was already set on my choices. We were racing the weather since it started raining early this September, but in his haste, one of his guys sanded down both sides of a door instead of just the exterior, and it took 7 months before he came out to re-stain it. In his defense, his wife gave birth the week after our project was finished, but he could have fixed it up sometime in October and never got it scheduled. I had to keep reminding him. Like I said, his work was fine, and he's a really nice guy. The reason we chose him in the first place was his 3-year warranty against peeling or cracking paint. The reason I wouldn't hire him again is just because I prefer to work with people who put *everything* in writing and basically just cover the administrative details and don't leave me chasing after them.

Owner Kerry was an excellent communicator and had pride in completing the work in a timely manor. We were trying to get our vacant home on the market ASAP and Kerry really helped us get there. He helped us save money re using old paint, did his best to match existing paint. He was excellent at clean up during and after the project. We rated the quality as a B as that was what we were striving for , because of time and paying for an A job on 3600sqft was not in our budget. But I know he can do this A job in quality. Kerry is excellent helping get our house on the market and made it look great! You really feel like he is on your team and he certainly acts this way with great results. Great work ethic, and I look forward to working with him on our new home.

KERRY SHERRILL IS A CON ARTIST WHO TAKES ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE. HE WOULD NOT LET ME BUY THE PAINT. HE SAID HE RECEIVED A DISCOUNT AT SHERWIN WILLIAMS. HE DID NOT ARRIVE WHEN SCHEDULED, I HAD TO CALL HIM FOR ANOTHER DATE. WHEN HE FINALLY ARRIVED HE HAD A 5 GAL. BUCKET THAT SAID SHERWIN WMS. ON THE CAN. IT HAD ONLY A GAL OF PAINT IN THE CAN. HE CHARGED ME FOR SHERWIN WMS. PAINT. WHEN HE WAS FINISHED I REQUESTED BALANCE OF PAINT IN THE ORIGINAL PAINT CAN. I WANTED THE PAINT CAN WITH THE CODE FOR THE COLOR ON IT FOR FUTURE USE. FIRST HE SAID HE THREW IT OUT THEN SAID IT WAS AT HOME, HE WOULD BRING IT BACK LATER THAT NIGHT. HE NEVER DID. IT TURNS OUT HE BUYS CHEAPO PAINT AT HOME DEPOT, NOT WHAT HE PROMISES. HE ALSO USES CHEAP MATERIAL, WILL NOT USE BLUE PAINTING TAPE. HE ALSO DOES A LOUSY PAINT JOB, MISSING SEVERAL AREAS, GETTING PAINT ON OAK TRIM, WHICH HE DID NOT REMOVE. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL INTERVENTIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO RECOMMENED HIM TO NO AVAIL.
