Hats Off to Rick and Corey at McKillin Contractors and their performance of getting this job done. They came out on the decided date and time to meet with my neighbor and I and offered an estimate for the fence repair. They were on time and communicated the details of the project well. My neighbor and I gave the project the green light and Rick began the project on the date promised and didn't let the rain stop him. He was well organized and efficient and on time and did beautiful work. Even with "unknown" challenges he kept a positive attitude and completed the job on time and within budget. The new fence is a beauty and adds so much aesthetic value to our properties. I couldn't have asked for a better job than the work Rick and Corey provided and all as promised with details, budget and on time performance. Great Job!! Rick and Corey.... Thank You JC Mc KIllin for your awesome service. I will use them again in the future for my home remodeling projects and fencing. Simply the BEST!!

I had worked with JC Killin on prior small jobs knowing I wanted them to do this larger project. They recommended a designer to work with and she did a great job picking up on my wife’s design sense (mine is one step up from a tent with indoor plumbing). Once the material was spec’d a timeline was created. The work started and continued until finished. This wasn’t easy as I kept coming up with other things to be done, at least five changes. These were all handled and never a single complaint. I highly recommend this company and if I have another remodel job would use them again.

This was the fourth time I’ve had JC Killin out to do a project and the biggest one to date. Working with Jon and Travis was easy. Once we had our materials set, it was full speed ahead. They handled my change requests with no problems. It seemed that every couple of days one of us would come up with a new idea of how to improve the house. Two changes were in rooms outside the scope of the original project. The finished product was fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire these folks for any remodel project and talked with Travis about some ideas we have for the future.

Remodelling my kitchen, but needed the foundation leveled first. The crawl space was too compact to work from under the house. Since I'm remodeling I had them go through the kitchen floor to access the piers. They were fast and professional and finished up in the promised time and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. I am currently putting in the cabinets, and the new subfloor is dead-on level. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

This was a major remodel at our home. Working with Jon Killin was always a pleasure and we will be contacting them again should we ever need additional work here.

Once the work began, it was discovered that I needed 3 piers, not 2. The work was done quickly and to my satisfaction. The leveling of the kitchen area proved to be a problem. Between the very soft ground and limited space, that work couldn't be done at this time. We worked out a new plan to come at this from inside the house once I demo the old floor and prepare to install the new one. Sounds like a great plan. Looking forward to working with Jon and his staff again.

Jim came out and to give me an estimate for the repair work. As we discussed what needed to be done, I decided this would be a good time to replace the entry steps, as the existing steps needed to be removed to do the immediate repair. When he returned with the cement contractor, we decided to expand the cement work. All of these additions to the initial scope were handled efficiently and at a reasonable cost. When it came time to do the work, the people Jim sent, Tim and Jeremy, got to work and kept me apprised of what they were doing. The work was done fast and better than I expected; these guys know what they are doing.

This company is very good with communication, which was a breath of fresh air after dealing with contractors who never get back to you. I used their website to get in touch initially and they I'm pretty sure they responded within 24 hours, if not one day then no more than two. They have a nice and informative website with pictures of work done and pictures of the employees. They came out to do an estimate pretty quickly, within the week. Jim, the owner, did the estimate and was easy to talk . He got down in the crawlspace and told me what needed to be done and gave me options where he could. He gave me a nicely detailed and itemized quote. It was not the lowest quote; but definitely not the highest. They honored the discount they offered via Angie's List. They provided me with referrals, who all had positive things to say. It was easy to schedule the work, they tend to be about 6 weeks out. There were five workers total who came out, and Jim came out to check on things the day I was there. His foreman onsite answered my questions and told me what they were doing. The job took a total of two days, which was what they bid. They did a pretty good job of cleaning everything up. They had to dig up parts of my yard and they did a pretty good job of putting it back together. They provided a ten-year warranty for labor. And they seem like a company that will be around for those ten years. Overall, I am satisfied with the work that was done. And I am using them for two more jobs. The bids on those jobs seem fair and in-line with other bids I received.

The work went very well. They replaced many post and blocks under the home (in fact more than they originally thought they would have to and stayed within estimate). The crew put in many earthquake straps per my request. They dug out under the house and put piping in for drainage. The house sits below street level and I believe gets some run off from the street in heavy downpours. Consequently it was pretty damp under the house. After last rain no new water under the house! Finally they tried leveling a few different spots in the old house for me. This proved to be a little more difficult than I had anticipated. I was told that it could not be completely level everywhere that I wanted but that most people are happy when it is done. I guess I am not most people and I was not satisfied after the work was completed. So twice the crew came back (at no extra charge) and worked on it again. True to their word, it is still not completely level but I am satisfied that they did the best job that could be done. Unfortunately it is still not completely dried out under the house and the blocks keep sinking. Another little touch up may be necessary at some later date. Jim Killin is one of the nicest guys a person could ever want to meet and he stands by his work. I have a man that I call my foreman working at the house almost every day. Someone I know and completely trust who I know does excellent work and always goes above and beyond in the work he does. He has been under the house and told me what an excellent job the J C Killin company has done. I know this to be true. I wold hire them again any time. I highly recommend them to anyone. The job may have been a little expensive but I did my reserch and I thinl it was reasonable for all that they did.
