Healthy Gardens has been creating beautiful, sustainable gardens in the Seattle area since 1989 utilizing a comfortable, yet thorough, creative design process. We get to know our clients and their needs, as well as their unique site to provide a landscape that works well for them and for the living plants that will inhabit the place. Our natural methods and innovative garden construction makes the most of our resources, both existing resources as well as the materials we bring in to our gardens.

I found Healthy Gardens Landscape & Design through a referral by a neighbor. The neighbor had a very positive experience overall with the owner, Jon Nielsen and his crew in regards to the design and implementation of a front and side garden, stone walkway and a well-built wood fence with three separate gates.
Jon himself told me that he was “Seattle’s best-kept secret.” He had built a solid business and steady clientele over the last twenty five years as a result of referrals with little or no outside advertising, except his online website.
So even though Jon was not listed on Angie’s List and I was unable to find one single online review of his work, I felt comfortable hiring him as my own garden and landscape designer for my home.
I did consider two other garden and landscape designers. I chose to work with Healthy Gardens Landscape & Design, not based on price, but because I felt he far surpassed the other companies in terms of quality, experience, attitude and a genuine concern for client satisfaction. He is the only designer that gave me a client questionnaire that included lifestyle choice considerations. This proved to be an invaluable tool for making sure I would be contented with the results of his work overall.
Jon runs a small regular crew; no temporary subs; he is often on site throughout the project itself. He is quite diligent in providing on-going supervision and instruction to his crew; he is accessible to reach for client communication from beginning to end of the project; and he himself works alongside his crew when necessary to meet deadlines and for ensuring his high level of standards towards every aspect of the work done.
Worth every penny! I highly recommend Jon for all your home garden and landscape projects!
