Diane's Tank Removal Services LLC
About us
Certified Tank Decommissioner - for underground fuel storage tanks to include heating oil, gasoline, etc. for both commercial and residential properties. Certified Site Assessor - for underground fuel storage tanks to include sampling, soil remediation, etc. I'm a registered contractor with the State PLIA program and have extensive knowledge on how the program works. Most customer's are unaware that they can easily loose the PLIA coverage by not knowing the details that I know about the program. If you are in the process of switching from oil heat to gas or another source, give me a call prior to any work being done and I can walk you through the process so you do not have any accidents or spills in your household. I can also advise you on how to decommission your tank properly. I provide free estimates. I can also do tank locates and tank installations. I have been doing this type of work for 10 years and have a lot of knowledge in this field. I've worked for many homeowner's and customer service is of the most importance to me. I've also worked for many General Contractors, Cities, Fire Dept. and School Districts on larger tank projects. I call myself the "Tank Lady" and I work cooperatively and resourcefully with my clients in getting them the best price for their work. When you call 206-510-9497, you will get me (unless I'm on another call :)

The only problem we had was trying to get the weather and my scheduling to cooperate!
* Scope of work: Dig out, and remove 300 gallon abandoned oil tank., backfill dirt.
* Aprox cost: $850.00
* Diane came out as promised, but during the removal of this tank, found that the tank had leaked, see the phase 2 information below for the cost and time associated with addressing that.
Phase 2:
* Scope of work: remove 12 tons of PCS (petroleum contaminated soil) and installation of bio-remediation system to include all back fill, soil sampling, RAFR (remedial action final report).
* Aprox cost: $5,300.00
* Diane went out of her way to move our date up since the closing on this house sale was pending getting this addressed, she was able to get the work done quickly (digging was like 2 or 3 days, and then another 3 -4 day waiting on soil samples and getting the report completed). When we had question after the work was done, she made time to talk to us, even though she was being paid by the seller, and not buy us (we were the buyers in the transaction).
As a side note - we had planned to re-do the landscaping in the area that Diane worked, so we told her we didn't care what state that are was left in. Her crew put back many of the plants, even though they didn't have to (though about 1/2 of them didn't make it). They also took down a fence to get some of the digging equipment in, which they put back after they were done.
