I would give Emily an A for her actual cabinet design work, but a D for responsiveness. She came up with a great layout, had great ideas, listened to what we wanted, and we love the final product. However, she could be extremely difficult to get a hold of. This was a big issue for us because we were on a series of deadlines due to a house purchase / rehab loan and the whole process took many months to get through. She was frequently on vacation or out of town (as in, once every couple weeks), and during those times was frequently unreachable, sometimes for a week at a time.

Katie and my wife bonded instantly. My wife knows what she wants, Katie listened and together they picked out the cabinets, hardware and counter-tops in record time. Katie recommended a tile outlet for the floor and wall tile and an installer. Two weeks prior to the work beginning she furnished everyone with a schedule of what work was to be started and completed on each day of the remodel. During the work period she maintained daily contact to check on the process and came to the house several times to witness the progress. Two wall cabinets were ordered in the wrong size (my fault) and when I notified Katie she promptly got the replacements ordered and delivered in record time. Her counter people were easy to work with and her tile "guy" is nothing short of fantastic. Katie is very personable and professional; she wants your dream to come true.

Showroom items picked out and kitchen measurements taken. Error in the size of the sink with granite install company where the sink was ordered through - ended up being double chaged for a 2nd sink that took 5-weeks to work out the double billing. Error costed 2-more days. Once the granite guys on site they worked hard. and did a good job. A and W were slow in delivering items missed delivery dates from items at their showroom, the order was short on trim and denied it was a short order - paid another $49. Didn't offer to straighten it out with the cabinate guys after the 30K - What's $50? Was responsive for a change in the size of a hutch and TV area.

Ordered cabinets. Guys that delivered the cabinets, brought half the load down to the house situated on a hill, then made a decision that the job was too dangerous and left the remaining cabinets in the garage. Still don't have a an answer about this issue. Cabinets were installed, but there was a couple blemishes on the faces which are going to be taken care of by the manufacturer, but Steve at A and W has not been very communicative and has put me off unnecessarily. I had to call the manufacturer myself to get the answers I was looking for. I'm on a tight schedule and it's been a hassle.
