Tolt Tree Care

They were here early. I would say it how they took the tree down exactly how they said they would. It was a 40-foot tree. They had to throw it in the street, and they chipped it all up and there wasn't any debris left. So, I was very happy. I think it was about an hour to do the work. They left it super. Well, I asked him after they had taken down the one tree if he could do pull some other branches of another dead tree for me and he did that right then and there.

Everything went really well. The work was done really quickly, they ground down the stumps well, and left me a nice big pile of fresh mulch at my request. The pricing was also very reasonable for a real tree service (versus a cash only deal with a part time guy).

Jeff was amazing to work with! He showed up to give me a quote the day I called him on his way home. He and his crew were swift and efficient. Would absolutely recommend

We had a tree in a flowerbed that had grown very tall and large. Its roots were getting close to the foundation, and it was making a big mess on the roof/gutters and the lawn and creating a lot of work with leaves in the fall.

Jeff was very responsive and reliable about coming out to give an estimate and then following up a few days later to come out and do the work. We were not home during the estimate or when the work was performed, but Jeff was good about communicating by phone and email. After the work was done the area was clean, and the stump had been cut nice and flat close to the ground. We felt the price was very reasonable at $300, and we liked doing business with Tolt Tree Care since they are local.

Jeff was incredibly punctual and helpful, he actually pointed out what he was planning to do with each tree and assessed the needs of each. He didn't try to oversell the job at all, he was very honest in his assessments of the needs of each tree, which I really appreciated. I had thought the big walnut tree was in much worse shape than it eventually proved, and Jeff patiently walked me through what I was seeing and what to worry about.

The work they did was excellent, they showed up a few days after the assessment at the agreed time, and we came home to beautifully trimmed trees, it was a great experience.

I had built a deck around one of the larger trees when it was small, Jeff was able to bring down the tree without harming the deck at all. he also brought down the other four trees with ease. He came back the next day and ground out two of the larger tree stumps. The one in the middle of the deck he cut the stump down below the bottom of the deck. Jeff then delivered a load of the wood to my 92 year old father inlaw.

Overall they did a good job.

He's very professional. He comes in at the quote that he gives you. His quote is reasonable and it's certainly not the lowest price, but he's not unreasonable on his pricing. He's friendly and he'll call you if he's not going to be on time. It's a weather dependent job. So it's hard to get him on the good days because there are so many people that call him. Sometimes he'll call and inform that he's going to be late or he'll ask if could be rescheduled. He's really good about calling and letting you know where he is on the schedule. He's very good about that especially when you have to just sit around and wait for him all day. He's good at returning phone calls. If he's in you're area and if you want a quote on something, he'll do it. I've had him just run by and he's given me quotes. He's not a hard sell. He's very realistic about people and their budgets. He's kind and he's got a good crew that works with him. They are very friendly and professional. I've been really pleased with him. I've used him a number of times, probably three or four times in the last couple of years. I would recommend him. I will use his services again in the future.

Jeff called the morning after I contacted them by email, and said he could come out that evening when I got home, to make an estimate. He offered a good price right off the bat, and I agreed they could do the job the following week, when my wife would be home during the day. Jeff was clear in his summary of what needed to be done, and why. I agreed that the third tree should come out, it was thinning significantly, and there had been several trees in recent years that died and fell in the yard. One tree in the big windstorm a few years ago actually hit the edge of the house.

They came out right at the agreed time, did what they said they would do, cleaned up well, and were done in a little over two hours. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

They had good service and reasonable prices. I will definitely use them again.

Recently received my permit for removal of two trees (Maple and small Cedar) which were planted in bad locations (past owner) and thus damaging my driveway and putting foundation at risk. I called and left a message for my 'normal' tree guy to get an estimate two weeks ago and haven't had time to think about calling again. Meanwhile Tolt Tree Care was servicing a yard a few doors down and I heard the sound of the chain saw. Asked if they could provide an estimate for my two trees. Jeff came over, saw my trees and made me an offer I could accept. Especially thinking about the prospect of cutting branches down a little at a time to make it into my yard waste bin and all of the evenings and Saturdays I'd be giving up 'hacking' at the trees. Since they were in the neighborhood the price was very fair. The team was very professional and did a good clean up job. I also received a quote for stump grinding which I will most likely have them come out later in the summer and take care of the stumps. The branches were chipped and taken away, and firewood cut into manageable lengths and placed next to the stump for me to stack at my convenience. Happy to recommend Jeff and Tolt Tree Care.

It went pretty well. They were here on a Monday and a Wednesday. The only complaint was that they didn't do as good a cleanup as I had hoped because the truck that takes all the clippings broke down. They didn't have it the second day so they had no way to take the rest of the branches that were left over.

Jeff is extremely competent at his job. Because of the location of the tree in proximity to our home and other surrounding trees it was necessary to remove the trees with a crane. Jeff removed all of the limbs without damaging the garden area or the driveway and choreographed the careful placement of the sections along the driveway. He cut the trees into the specified length as requested. We were very pleased with his work.

Jeff was very professional, pleasant, and timely. He was very careful when he cut down the tree, so that it did not hit anything. He left the yard perfectly clean. There were no branches, pieces, or debris left over.
