About us

I am a recently semi-retired journeyman carpenter who is not ready to quit working. I am interested in bringing my experience and knowledge through hands on working and education to you in an effort to provide you with a service that meets or exceeds your expectations at a reasonable price. I thoroughly enjoy building decks but am skilled in all aspects of carpentry to include all phases of remodel as well as new construction. I have built projects from small decks to very large unique houses running into millions of dollars. I have a degree in construction management and have managed projects running to 200+ million dollars. I am currently enjoying the personal contact with homeowners and the aspect of doing the activities required for these projects. My 2nd floor deck project was abandoned by a previous contractor. It was a mess that sat for a year. Dave provided options and quotes and when I found myself wavering on what choice to make, he provided honest and direct advice. Dave’s experience in the business shows. He showed up when he said he would. He handled all of the purchasing for me. He is friendly and stayed in communication. He finished the project quickly. I highly recommend him. Thanks Dave!

Dave did a fabulous job on our deck. We wanted to replace the existing cedar and replace with a Trek (like) composite material. Dave recommended using Azek and even helped us choice a color that worked with our current colors. He takes absolute pride in his work and did an amazing job. Our deck turned out great and we could not be happier. Dave is wonderful to work with and follows through on anything he promises as well as being patient of my million questions. Give him a try. I think you will be very happy you did.

"The costs were reviewed...I called this customer and confirmed that he was billed for exactly what was quoted...I offered to do whatever it took to make it right and he declined saying he was thrilled with the project and after talking to me realized I had billed the project correctly and the final cost was less than the original quote by about $100.00"

David is a very conscientious Carpenter. You can tell he takes pride in the job he does. We are very happy with his skills and love the way the deck looks. The other thing to note is he has the patience to deal with my asks and that is no small task and is appreciated.

He worked with us to help design our deck and came up with excellent recommendations for construction solutions and materials. He was extremely polite, considerate and worked within our budget and schedule without sacrificing quality. We highly recommend David for any home project and hes one heck of a nice guy!
