Murray's CARSTAR Collision

Unable to get the repair piece without roll in it. Then when getting quote on other work disagree with them on how much needed to be done. They were ok for what they did but I will go to an repair shop closer to where I live next time.

Took slightly longer than they estimated but was caused by ins co delays.

I drove it to four different repair places in South King County and got bids. Although the Murray's repair estimate was the 2nd to the lowest price and the farthest away from my home in Auburn I selected them because of the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. They had my car all fixed up and ready to go within two weeks. Unfortunately, on the way home from picking it up at the shop I was rear ended in the EXACT same place on my car! I went back to Murray's Carstar Collision the next day. On both repairs they fixed up my car like new and worked closely with the insurance company to handle the paperwork. Thanks to Bryan and Lisa and the other employees of Murray's Carstar Collision for such excellent service!

Mostly everything went fine. The accident happened in New Mexico and a Santa Fe Geico appraiser made up the initial repair estimate. The car was driveable, so I drove it back up to Washington and took her appraisal to Murray's Carstar. They ordered the parts the appraisal said were needed, and they came in a month later. Not too surprisingly, damage was discovered to be much worse than the initial Geico appraisal indicated. So repairs took longer than initially promised. I'll grant the blame for that is probably on the Geico appraiser, who missed a lot (and everybody gave me heads up about that). But it also sounded as if Murray's could've caught some more stuff had they done another inspection when I brought the car in the first time. The major beef I have is with the wheel well fenders that were replaced. The left side failed three months after being installed, and now the right one is failing too. This raises questions about the quality of the replacement parts they ordered.

I searched Angie's List for nearby auto body shops, Murray's had by far the best reviews in area of interest. I planned to get three estimates. Murray's was the second shop I visited and Brian Murray gave a detailed but easy to understand explanation of the work plan including what additional work might be found when the fender was removed. Murray's final bill was over $600 below the competitor's estimate. I skipped the third estimate and went with Murray's. The job was completed in three days and it is impossible to tell that the car had been damaged.

Murray's was fantastic from start to finish.  This is the first time I've ever had to have body work done so I wasn't sure about how to best navigate the process.  They couldn't have made it easier.  They responded quickly and kept me updated every day.  They also arranged the car rental and the rental was waiting for me when I dropped off my car, and I was able to leave the rental at their shop.  They talked me through every step of the process and did a fantastic job on my car.  They have a sign in their lobby that says, "Relax, we'll take it from here" and that's exactly what happened!  Thanks Murray's for a great job and a painless process!

From the first phone call this company was very professional.  I was kept apprised of the work being done. They handled the rental car too.  Extremely pleased working with this company.  PEMCO should make this their preferred collision repair company instead of who they currently refer clients to.

Sad to say that I've had to use Murray's services three times over a 15 month period of time (twice in accidents when I was struck by another driver, and once when my wife had an accident).  Regardless, the first time we went to Murray's based on the Angie's List recommendations, and we did not hesitate to go back each time because of their excellent service and good work.  The people are very friendly, and they are very customer focused and responsive to any issues.  My last repairs from February cost over $5,800 but my out of pocket for insurance deductible was only $500.  The accident was a major highway/I-405 crash to the front of my car, so the damage was considerable.

You can't go wrong with Murray's, they aren't done until you are satisfied. This job was completed ahead of schedule and looks beautiful.

Accident happened on a Friday night. I had it towed to my house and filed a claim with my insurance company. The other driver had an expired license and no insurance. I looked up auto body shops close to my home on Angie's List and this company had great reviews. I sent them pictures of the damage and asked if they could take the job. They were not on the list of providers on file with my insurance company. They responded on Monday and gave me lots of good information over the phone. They said they worked with my insurance company all the time but were not on the recommended list because they would not discount their work. The insurance company approved them and sent an adjuster that day. The car was towed to their shop on Monday the 11th of November. My concern was not getting the best price but the best work. My collision coverage  would cover it less the $1000 deductible. From the time they had the car, they called me at least once or twice a week to tell me of the progress. They called when the adjuster came, when major parts were received, after the car had been partially disassembled so they could determine the extent of the damage. In all my 70 years, I have never dealt with an auto repair shop that was this responsive. As you might suspect, it took a while to round up the parts and get the work done. I cautioned them to take their time to do the job right. I was in no hurry to get it back at the expense of a good result. They called in a specialist to remove and replace the convertible top. I had never visited the shop before the day I picked up the car (today). It was like going to a Toyota dealer, everything clean and businesslike. The office was more like a real estate office than a car repair office. The work was superb. The car was spotless, like it had just come out of a premium car wash, no dust, no dirt, no water spots. I looked at the car in the daylight and could not see where the old paint ended and the new began. The top worked perfectly and the trunk lid closed easily. The inside of the previously crushed trunk was Showroom new and my manuals and tools were all replaced in the correct spots. I have not had a chance to crawl under the car but I doubt I will find any issues. They even took the manufacturer's data plate off the crushed rest fender door jam and returned it to me.  I am blown away by the quality of the work. They saved my baby's life.

After being involved in a collision that was not our fault, I was looking for a good repair shop.  When I contacted Murray's via Angie's List, I received an immediate reply.  In hindsight, I should have contacted them days before I did.  I would've saved myself a ton of undue stress.

Not only did they repair my car to amazingly new condition (even better than before I was hit), they took care of handling all the details with both insurance companies (my insurance company adjuster was ridiculously unhelpful), and Lisa at Murray's was my ray of sunshine and helpfulness in a situation that I had never dealt with before and to say the least was extremely inconvenient.

All I had to do was take my car in for an estimate, they sent all the pictures and necessary paperwork to both insurance companies.  Then when the time came to leave my car to have the repair done, Lisa had already arranged with the rental car company to have the car there waiting for me.  When my car was finished, I just returned the rental car to Murray's and they took care of the rental car return & even the payment for it the responsible insurance company. 

My car now looks even better than before it was hit.  They removed any other scuffs and scratches that were in other places on the car as well. 

I will continue to use Murrays Collision Center anytime I need auto body services in the future WITHOUT hesitation!

It was a great customer service experience.  They did everything we asked and more.

Everything was excellently handled, from repair to rental car.
