4-Aces did an outstanding job removing the popcorn ceiling (which had asbestos) in our home. We had tried contacting other contractors, but most of them never showed up to the scheduled appointments and their estimates were ridiculous. Rigoberto worked with us to schedule the timing of the project that worked well with his crew and us. When the work started, his crew was always on time and worked diligently and were, actually done a couple days early. Best of all, Rigoberto stuck by his estimate and there were no hidden fees. 4 Aces is now our Go-To contractor, we highly recommend them.

I'm the President of my condo Board of Directors. We needed a company to clean up an attic space, and to effect repairs to a storage closet and the siding on a chimney. We just had another company up in the attic, and they discovered that Rigo and his team did a horrible job up there: they sprayed oil-based Kilz everywhere to mitigate the mold, but they blocked up the ridge vent, seriously compromising the ventilation. They also did not install the baffles correctly, so the ventilation was even further minimized. They left two vents disconnected, so a bathroom fan and a kitchen fan were venting into the attic. The chimney was a complete mess. First they chose to side it with plywood and to install the trim improperly so that rain got in behind the flashing, and seeped in behind the siding. It was falling apart within two winters. I contacted Rigo and asked for a refund of that portion of the bill so that we could hire someone to do it correctly. He refused the refund and assured us that he was embarassed by the failure of the work, and that they were "better than that". He asked for a second chance so that they could "do it right". We (the condo Board) said ok, but that they needed to install James Hardie cement panels, flash it correctly, and install all products according to the manufacturer's specifications. He assured me that it would be done right. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. It's not even close. They brought several 4'x8' Hardie cement panels, but rather than using a full panel on each side of the chimney, they left several seams, and they didn't treat the seams according to spec. One narrow side of the chimney, only about 2 feet wide and 6 feet tall, has two (yes, 2!) horizontal seams over which they nailed 1x2 battens (pieces of wood used to cover a seam) which is exactly what Hardie says NOT to do. For some unknown reason, they also chose to nail battens horizontally at the bottom of each side of the chimney. These horizontal surfaces will collect water, and with our wet Pacific Northwest winters it's just a matter of time before the caulking fails and the water seeps in once again. I emailed Rigo, Lourdes, and their office three times asking for them to address these issues, but they never even botherd to respond. I wanted to leave a negative review, and the rest of the Board agreed. I would never hire these guys again, and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Shame on you, 4 Aces.

Our old furnace failed in January and I needed someone to perform asbestos removal before the new furnace could be installed.
