Starting off with an overview of project expectations, a resulting bid was provided with a moderate projection on both timing and costs. Preliminary drawings were submitted months after initial projections. Surprisingly this firm utilizes very outdated techniques, lacking in the use of available technologies thus impairing turnaround, drawing iterations, and availability of digital renderings of the work produced. In the many months that followed it became obvious that inefficiencies also significantly impacted the billing, with the overall costs exceeding initial bids by nearly double. On several occasions’ verbal communications from were far less than professional. Adding to the frustration, drawing changes would at times be made by the firm on their own prerogative, with no prior customer communication, and then billing costs would be again added to rectify these firm initiated changes. The surveyors were less than considerate of the property in the field. On a more positive note the resulting drawings appear to be accurate, and neat.
