The listing and showing went fine, but when we got an offer, it requested that we pay the closing costs. The realtor did not inform us that these costs would include ALL of their mortgage costs, 18 months of property tax and 15 months of homeowners insurance. Plus the realtors commission and the excise tax were calculated on the full price, not the net price. We paid $12,000 more than we should have.
