 + -1 moreEverything has been done very professionally & looks terrific! Darrell clearly presents the various options on how the work can be performed & options that may improve the project. He's clear with supplies & time needed. Helped me to plan ahead for the order of supplies and how best to stage work. He arrives promptly, works to accommodate others living in the house, leaves the job tidy & locks up consistently when leaving. He does not "pad" his bill by charging unnecessarily for trips to supply stores or lingering, low work.
Description of Work: I just plain lucked out when I found Darrell Alkema, owner of Home Solutions & Services LLC, to remodel 1250 sq ft of my house into an apartment for Mom. He worked hourly at $35.00/hr Installing floors (were cement) - Darrell installed wood & tile with grout,1250 sq ft Installed 6 thresholds in tile & laminate doorways Trimmed 6 doors to fit new floor heights Toilet lifted & reseated with double wax seals as needed with new floor level Installed Kitchen upper & lower cabinets including difficult backing & trim Installed Laminate countertop, tile backsplash, sink & two levels of trim Plumbed new sink & corrected second sink plumbing Installed ceiling lights in 3 rooms Installed Safety handrails in bathroom, stairs & bedroom - eight of them! Upgraded shower head Install heater +light +fan in ceiling, clean vent tubing of birds nest! Repair sliding glass door so it slid smoothly. Recommended how to repair thresholds to exterior doors
