HI-TECH CONSTRUCTION INC

(All of these comments are my opinions) -- Very friendly in the beginning. As I looked to upgrade cabinets and appliances (adding my own money to the insurance company's money to move to a higher quality appliance/cabinet/etc), I came to understand that the software Hi-tech used did not support upgrades of this nature and that the entire job would need to be re-priced. This would delay the job and change the bill rates. Realizing I wasn't going to get what I wanted I halted work, asked for a final bill, and dismissed them as my contractor. The day I received their bill, I wrote them a check and sent payment to their office. A week later I received a registered letter that they were suing me and had placed a lien on my home. (Take note: I'd already sent them a check paying them for their services performed). I called their attorney and explained the check was likely in their hands already. The attorney explained the lien would remain and that they planned to take me to court. I contacted my own attorney to remove the lien and get them to confirm they'd received my check paying them for their work. The project manager was a fantastic guy, but in my opinion the company is inflexible and the owner exceptionally rude and exceedingly aggressive. I finally went with a company in Wenatchee called France and Company and these guys were awesome. They finished where Hi-tech left off and did a fantastic job. I would hire F&C again in a heartbeat but Hi-tech I would run away from... Quickly!
