My heat pump/AC broke down on the hottest day of the year. I called Duro Heating the next day and spoke with Brent. He was able to come to my home to take a look at the heat pump the following day at noon. Brent diagnosed the issue within a couple of minutes. He returned with the part after about an hour and a half, and then fixed the problem! He also did a maintenance service on my furnace and confirmed that everything was working fine. I really appreciate Brent’s honesty, clear explanation, and his responsiveness. I plan to call Duro Heating for my future heating and air conditioning needs.

My A/C heat pump stopped spinning. Brent came and he found out why in less than a min. He said the run capacitor stopped working and it would require a new one. He ran over from West Seattle to Seattle to pick up another, returned promptly and installed it. He checked everything and also the furnace to where the refrigerant was to check for leaks. The guy knows his stuff. He was very conservative and without a doubt will recommend him to my friends and clients.

"Investigated the problem day prior on a 90+ temperature day. Schedule the appointment the following morning early, arrived on time, 6:30. Since the damper was in the attic and the day prior the attic was over 130 degrees. After locating the damper and finding the damper, the damper opened during investigation. Spoke with the customer and "the Customer" chose not replace the damper. I informed him that it may stick again but he chose not to replace and see if it continue to work. That was over 2 months ago. During the reinstallation of the ceiling access panel a corner of the panel drywall broke. When finalizing the bill I remove $50 from the bill for the panel repair or replacement, at which time he proceeded to give me a $50 tip??"

overall experience was good. checked condition of AC unit outside house. Gave useful tips like keeping area around AC clean from dirt so that dirt will not build up near radiator. Didn't clean existing dirt near radiator but cleaned dirt/leaves which got inside AC unit. I was happy about the service.

Brent was thorough and knowledgeable. He says he has been in the trade 11 years and it showed. You could tell he knew furnaces and was good at what he does. I also mentioned a smell and he said it was the byproduct of the burning process and he recommended another company that could clean the byproduct out of the furnace and could also do the duct work at that time. I was so thankful to have Brent fit me in on such short notice. And the fact he answered kindly and patiently all of my additional questions says good things about him and Duro.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they were excellent. There were additional charges as I had them do a full service on the furnace, just to make sure they gave me a discount when it broke down. It was completely worth it, it was very good. I spent an additional 219 Dollars. They said that if I paid for the full tune up, then they wouldn't charge me for fixing the broken down unit. I like him, I would recommend him, they are just fine. I haven't had any issues since they did the repairs. The guy was really good.

Brent is a very pleasant guy. He works quietly and expertly. He is good at answering any question you may have and will volunteer information helpful for you to have.
I only gave Brent a "C" for responsiveness because he did not return my call for several days I understand he is the sole proprietor and this is his busy season. When I called and left a message for him I did say that I was not having a problem and this was to be a routine maintenance call and it may be why I didn't hear back timely. Still.......

We have quite an old furnace, which has been cleaned and serviced every year for years, just to keep it going. This morning, it started a deep, long, loud rumble, alarming enough for me to immediately shut off the heat and vow not to use the furnace until we could have it serviced again. Expecting the worst, I called our oil company, who relayed us to Jeana, then to Brent. Because Duro hadn't serviced our furnace in about 5 years (another company had come every year), I was a bit concerned, thinking it'd be better to go to the "doctor" we'd had for so many years because of our aging furnace's "fragile" health. But, I checked Angie's List and got a B review and decided to take the risk and give them a go anyway. They were great. Brent studied the furnace condition, watched it's performance and then found and showed me the issue, which was a simple fix. He was in and out before I knew it. Polite, professional, extremely responsive, prompt and reasonable rate, especially for a right-before-Christmas-urgent house call. It wouldn't have been overly hard for a company to take advantage of our situation and claim the need for an expensive overhaul. But Duro didn't do that. I'm very grateful and would gladly call them again.

While Brent was professional and helpful when doing the initial service, when I called about the furnace not working, he was even more so. When I explained that the furnace needed to be fixed that night, he said he'd call one of his technicians to see if they could do another service call. When no one was available, Brent rearranged his evening commitments to come deal with the problem. I assumed that the problem was the same as before, but it wasn't. Brent explained that he hadn't tightened down the pipe fittings sufficiently and the line leaked air, breaking the pump suction so the furnace wasn't getting fuel. I appreciated his honesty in acknowledging a problem on his part. Brent took care of the problem, told me to call if needed and left. Overall, I was pleased with Duro's responsiveness, recommended system improvements and quickly dealing with the problem.

Noted the problem over a weekend and was not able to get any response until Monday. The technician said he had worked on all types of systems including gas, oil, heat pumps, AC. He certainly seemed to know what he was doing.

I really like how they are trying to be on the cutting edge of green heating. They are trying a lot of interesting things and are very educated about bio diesel. While the systems that they have installed do have some kinks that they are working out we will continue to use them. They have been very responsive to our service calls. Their customer service is very excellent.

Brent is knowledgeable and professional. I completely trusted the information he gave me on new furnace systems, because the research I did pointed to the same product, a Thermo Pride unit. They were very responsive during the scheduling phase. Brent came on the day of installation, even though he wasn't the person who was to install the furnace. He decided since the person was running a bit late that he would go ahead and remove the old furnace himself, and in doing so, certainly saved a lot of time. The regular installer did an acceptable job, though he didn't quite have the efficiency of Brent. Brent also made a free follow up call when the heating season started.

He subbed to an electrician who said there weren't "enough" wires to install a thermostat and recommended a wireless for another $50. Sure why not...except the thing never worked properly and was a pain to program. Even the technician couldn't figure it out. Summer 2006 - finally a hot day, no A/C. They came under warranty and fixed - turns out they'd not set the temp properly so it blew warm air, ugh. Summer 2007 a hot day - blew out my fan, no A/C. Also - asked them to repair or replace the wireless which never worked. They couldn't figure out how to repair it so I have to pay another $300+ for the wiring and thermostat that should have been installed in the first place. They're nice people, but I was quite clear that I wasn't looking for cheap, I was looking for quality and would have paid more to avoid this aggravation. I have had them clean my furnace etc and they did fine. It's irritating to pay for A/C which I've been able to use about 4 days over the past two summers!
