These guys are amazing!! My husband and I are selling our 1918 home. The buyers asked for a scope inspection and due to the angle of the pipe near the toilet they could not get their camera around the angle. We called many people and everyone said they could not fix the piping because of our small crawl space or they were too busy.. We also got bids that were very expensive! We called Rich and he came out the next hour to quote the job and by some miracle was able to have his team out 2 hours later to help modify the pipe, install a clean out, and scope the house. His team is very friendly, easy to work with and very affordable! They came through for us when we didn’t know who else to turn to. I will use them again in a heartbeat!!
I think it?s important to be able to trust your plumber as much as your doctor, lawyer and accountant. Strictly Sewer was recommended to me by the company that scoped the line of an 8-unit Seattle apartment building in a pre-purchase inspection. Roots were encountered that prevented a camera from viewing the line beyond a certain point. In discussing the work in advance, Strictly Sewer?s owner, Rich Bentz recommended a two-step process: remove the roots to repair the line and then with a clear view, decide if the sewer should be lined. Because of this conservative approach, I knew I was in good hands. Sewer lining is of course complicated when it is an apartment building instead of a private residence because tenants cannot use water during a five-hour period. I was thankful that in analyzing the situation fully, Rich decided it would be unnecessary to go in through a clean out location that would have required emptying a storage room and purchasing temporary storage for one tenant?s belongings. Once step 1 was completed, it was determined that the line was in good condition so a liner would be unnecessary. Instead, I will be removing large nearby trees and postponing the need to line. When it becomes time to line, it will definitely be Strictly Sewer I contact to do the work.
"[Member name removed], I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I have no records of looking at your sewer line or doing any work for you at 810 W Fulton St. I did a sewer scope through a 6 inch clean-out at 726 NW 61st St for you. If I had looked at your job I would have told you that in the City of Seattle you own the sewer line all the way from your house to the sewer tap. The sewer tap is the first connection coming off the sewer main. If there is a questionable joint near the sewer tap I will usually recommend that Seattle Public Utilities be notified and verify that their tap is good. I will never recommend that we dig in the street for $15,000.00-$20,000.00 before first getting their verification. Can you verify that it was my company that did your work. We strive to provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or needs immediately. This review confuses me because you have not made it clear what I was hired for and location. Thank you, Rich Bentz"
Rich and his crew were knowledgeable, friendly and the price was competitive with others. My only feedback is that I wish they had a website and responded more quickly to phone calls. Rich does not use email which in this day and age was a little frustrating, but he is a sewer guy not a techie!
