All work completed as requested. Only problem was with the caulk that was used for the tub. Caulk never set. After waiting 24 hours for caulk to cure, it was clear that it was not going to set. I removed the caulk and re-caulked the tub myself.

Our hanging chandelier lost the part that was attaching it to the ceiling and it was hanging by its wires instead of the chain. This was a major safety issue, so I used the Angie's List referral system to try to get someone out quickly. When I did, I got a call back from Ray Helms within minutes he was at our house in about one hour. Mr. Helms efficiently assessed the problem, went to the hardware store to purchase a necessary part, and the problem was resolved before Noon. I was VERY impressed with everything, from the fast telephone response to the timely arrival to the correction of the issue. We are very happy to now have a reliable handyman we can use when we need one and whom we can refer to our family and friends.

Really couldn't have gone better. Although playing catch up on the laundry was not fun!

It went better than expected. Our home was built in 1956 and the fixtures had never been replaced and we thought it was going to be a tremendous expense and a lot of work but it was apparent Ray Helms is awesome at what he does and choosing him was the best choice. Ray was extremely professional and courteous. Because I wasn't exactly sure what to replace the ceiling fixtures with, Ray accompanied me to the store and was patient and knowledgeable as I was looking through every fixture and deciding on what worked within my budget and also provided the look I wanted for my older kitchen. There were three ceiling light fixtures and three separate light switches and once Ray had a plan he went to work. The wiring was old and had to be replaced and instead of increasing the cost beyond what I could pay went to his truck and grabbed his own material and charged just a little bit more for the labor. He worked fast and was extremely polite and worked clean. The end result was beautiful. He replaced old square fixtures with beautiful round ones and you couldn't even tell they were different. My house is old with so much character and I don't entrust just anyone to work in it but not only would I use Racy's again and again but I will recommend Racy's, Ray Helms, to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy, hardworking, repairman. His work is amazing!

He did a GREAT Job!

My neighbor and I hired Racy’s LLC, Ray Helms, to replace the fence we shared. It was eleven sections of standard cedar fence. He generally works alone, and we booked the job in early September and waited until October 17th through the 20th, a four day job, his first available opening. Two days before the start of the job Ray texted me to tell me he had “minor surgery” and his “doctor forbids” him from starting the job on the 17th, but he can start on the 18th, ( sounds dubious to me) and Ray arrived on Wednesday morning 10/18. He came with an assistant, which seemed like a good idea since since he was already a day behind schedule. Mark, the assistant is a nice guy, but it remains to be seen if he knows anything about fencing. I stayed out of Ray’s way because I don’t want to be in his face the minute he gets there and first check on their work in the early afternoon. They appear to be finished replacing and setting the new posts, however the last two sections haven’t been removed. Ray walks by me, completely ignoring me and doesn’t respond to my, “good morning Ray,” and it’s clear he’s in a very bad mood, something I’ve seen before on a previous job. I then ask, mostly to Mark, “you’re going to finish the fence all the way to the end, right,” Ray abruptly interrupts, “NOPE, AND IF I HAVE TO REMOVE THAT VEGETATION I'M NOT GOING TO BE SO NICE ABOUT IT." I ask Ray, "did you tell my neighbor?” “Yep” he says. “And she’s OK with it?” “Yep,” Ray responds again. Ray’s first lie, or maybe second if you can believe that his doctor only forbid him to work on the 17th, but was fine to work on the 18th. The next day, Wednesday, 10/18, the third of a four day estimate, it’s raining pretty hard all day. I see them installing rails from my window, (about 30 yards away), and start screwing in pickets. When I return from doing errands at around 4:30 I drive by my neighbors house, where he's actually accessed the job, I see Ray loading up his truck. It looks like he’s done(?) It turns out he’s even already made a dump run. So he must have stopped working pretty early. I check in with my elderly neighbor, and she’s very upset. Her side of the fence, with the rails, looks so amateurishly installed, with both top and bottom rails either too high or too low, rails that follow the slope and then suddenly jump up or down a foot with no logic, plus there are two sections of old fence still remaining to be replaced! Me and my neighbor meet on Friday to look at the work and we’re appalled. It’s 11:00 AM, the weather is perfect, but Ray Helms isn’t there, he really just walked off the job without even a simple text message to us. We text him but he doesn’t answer, then email him about the shoddy and incomplete work. He doesn’t respond until Saturday and says it was raining too hard to work on Friday, another blatant lie. I check the official weather just to be sure and there was only .13” inches of total rain on Friday. The lies and unprofessional behavior are really adding up. By late Thursday all the minor vegetation was removed by my neighbor, which Ray used as an excuse for not finishing the job, ( which any other fencer would have asked the owner, "what do you want me to do about these plants?) and now Ray has changed his story, he didn’t come on Friday because he "didn’t want to go over budget," (the third lie), but was willing to come back in the spring to finish the job, which would, according to Ray’s logic, would still put us over budget. The man lies like water flowing from a faucet and some simple humane communication could have solved all or most of our issues with his work. The man just doesn’t want to finish the job, and will only deal with an elderly lady he can bully and bull@#$% with all his lies, and never responds to my texts or emails. Finally, after we tried to compromise with Ray, just having him replace the rails and pickets and not the posts on the last two sections, he still maintains that he can’t come back until the spring, or maybe he’ll have a cancellation? My neighbor and I were so exhausted trying to deal with this pathological liar and coward, we just paid him off to be done with it. We are now looking for someone to correct the blatant mistakes, (which will cost us more money) and finish the job. As a landlord for 23 years I’ve dealt with all kinds of repair people and this incident easily goes down as one of the worst I’ve experienced. If I could give 0 stars I would. The final lie was after we told Ray we didn't need his services anymore, he responded, "Oh, that's too bad, because I just had an opening for Monday." Now if that were rally true, and he was a pro, as soon as he had the opening he would have texted us, but of course he didn't.
Response from Racy's LLC
"Again, I'm sorry that Mr. [Member Name Removed] is upset. It is hard to respond to so many half truths. The only thing that I would like to make clear is that I would never be rude to Anyone, especially a Senior. It is true I started a day late and I asked a friend to help me because of that. I paid my friend to help, which I think Mr. [Member Name Removed] expected my helper to work for free. Mr. [Member Name Removed] knew that I only work by the hour and decided to hire me anyways. The last two sections were not replaced for two reasons; it was pouring down rain the entire time we were building the fence, my tools were getting abused, the last two sections were solid, but ugly. The second reason was because of money, because of the difficulty of removing the old fence i realized that the last two sections were going to take them over their budget. I offered to finish the final two sections, but they were unwilling to pay any more. I finished what I could, on time and under budget. The fence I built on their incline will last as long as the wood does. Again, I'm sorry that Mr. [Member Name Removed] is frustrated as I know he will not be able to find anyone to finish at the same price as I did. This doesn't really come close to responding to all accusations Mr. [Member Name Removed] has made but I felt I should put something out there."

I only paid additional tax. Installed shelving, fixed towel rack, and a light fixture. I think the price was reasonable. We had some back and forth with communication.

Very well. Once I contacted him, he came within a week to look over the proposed work and we came to an agreement on what day he would come back to perform the work. He came on time, ready, and knocked out the work in a professional manner.

Very nice and ceiling looks great. There were some breakdowns in communication that were somewhat our fault but he also missed an initial email that described the work needed and thus put him behind in preparedness and lete to a misunderstanding with my father in law. Ultimatley it took weeks to complete the job and it was not easy to schedule Ray or get follow up in a timely fashion. In addition, I am a stickler for clean up and the floors need mopping and vacumming as well as door trim still needs painting.
