Sears Carpet Cleaning and Air Duct Cleaning

It was good. Nothing really stood out about them.

They had a subcontractor come out to perform the service. The insurance was through the house I purchased where I bought a home maintenance plan for a year. It was just the $60 service fee and there was no other cost. The worker that came out seemed knowledgeable and he was professional. He was fine.

I had used them before to buy a previous water heater and was satisfied with it, so I just decided to go back to Sears. He was knowledgeable and answered the questions that I needed and then the rest was up to me. They did a good job. They did everything they said they would do and I still have hot water. Compared to other high priced water heaters and installations they were right there at the ballpark.

Drove up knowing I needed a new battery but the car was fine. As soon as the two guys popped the good they started oohing and ahhing and pointing out all sorts of things that needed replacing because they were original. Car runs well and has always been dealer serviced. It is absolutely fine but they would have scammed me for hundreds or thousands of dollars if I did not know any better.

This is for the Puyallup Sears. We used to go there and liked their service. The last two times, not so much. They were not ready to do the work when we came in, and no one came to talk to me for quite awhile, although I could actually see and here them standing around talking (not about repairs). They were not very helpful in talking about what was needed, options etc. I ended up leaving and taking my business somewhere else. This followed on the heels of having had some other repairs done and not being jazzed about their service and professionalism.

I just found out and am going through a frustrating repair process. I brought back a microwave that was defective. The repair center called yesterday to let me know the store would call me when I could pick up a new one. Both the repair center and store are within an hour of each other. I just found out that my defective microwave will not be returned to the store for four days and not until then can I pick up a microwave. That's absurd and terrible customer service an example of why Sears is not doing well!

They have been doing my carpets for many years. I am very happy with the work. I usually ask for the same person to come and do it, his name is Sam. I referred him to my kids and they use him too. It is reasonable if one has a coupon. We have been using Sears since 1958 and we have never had any problems with them. When they have specials, they send out the coupon in the mail and I use that.
