Harris Fence

Disaster from the get-go. Their company rep, James Mitchell, oversold the skill level of the people who were to perform work. He told me repeatedly they were "experts" in the field and had a good deal of experience. What I wound up with, was a horrible installation that would entail months of headaches and eventually, another fencing company to step in to fix all the defects with the installation.
 
None of the workers spoke english. Not good when trying to communicate.

Tom and Tracy Harris were rude, dismissive and dare I say it: LUNATICS. At one point, a call Tom Harris initiated to me wound up with him going into a crazed hysteria screaming "What do you want?! What do you want?!" before I slammed the phone on him.

This company has since changed names to avoid being discovered on the BBB website with their F rating. They now go by Harris Contracting or Harris Construction. They also have another company called All Faze Concrete Cutting. Buyer beware. These people lack integrity and do not deliver the quality they profess to offer.

Tom Harris was very responsive. His crew did a reasonable job of fixing the fence and installing the gate. However, his crew left fence debris in our yard and several weeks after the job was finished I discovered that his crew had thrown fence debris 20 to 30 feet into the greenbelt behind our property. They also left cement drying on our front hillside, nowhere near the fence site. This is the second time that we have used Harris Fence. They installed the original fence, approximately 8 years ago and we had no complaints. Due to the lack of clean-up, we will probably not use them again.

This is the MOST disreputable company I ve ever dealt with. Who would've thought a fence project could've turned into such a disaster? Every post set out of plumb, gates installed damaged and/or out of alignment with frames. Workers used tools from the shed, left a mess on the property and broke concrete stepping stones. The job, estimated to take no more than five days, took over a month to complete and was ultimately never finished. The installation defects were acknowledged by three other fencing contractors, including the vinyl manufacturer. Remaining payment due (50% deposit already in their hands) was withheld until Harris agreed to make adequate corrections. Company then proceeded to remove all gates, leaving the property unsecured. The gates were never returned. In the end, the company s concerns proved strictly monetary, as they took me to court to demand payment in full WITHOUT making the repairs needed to bring the project to an acceptable standard. Amazing.

I WOULD DEFINITELY ASK THEM TO DO IT AGAIN!!! THEY HAD IT DONE IN A GOOD AMOUNT OF TIME. NOT STACKING UP THE BILL. VERY FRIENDLY WORKERS. GREAT OVER ALL JOB.

I WAS NOT TO HAPPY WITH THEM. I THOUGHT THEY CHARGED TOO MUCH. THEY MADE A MESS, AND I HAD TO CALL THEM BACK TO FIX THINGS. I WAS NOT OVERLY HAPPY WITH THEIR JOB.
