Jon was excellent to work with. It was a pithy transaction; all I had to do was sit back and watch the work unfold. I told him what we wanted, and he took pictures, got back to us with an acceptable bid via email that evening - a Saturday. I confirmed, and the crew was working Monday morning. Everyone was friendly, polite, and easy to work with.
The bid was clear, detailed and well-written.
The leveling work turned out to be more complex than expected, but he was able to use existing materials at the site and not rack up more deliveries and charges for gravel that I was expecting.
A couple of issues came up along the way (related to our property, not his work) which were dealt with swiftly and without question. He didn't knock on the door while working, accept offers of coffee, snacks or soda, and has left the place as clean as he found it. We had an extra 1/2 yard or so of concrete when he was complete, and he poured it at the end of our driveway and spent a good 45 minutes of his time leveling and shoveling it all out to repair a consistent pothole. An added bonus!
The rain didn't stop him; he came prepared with tarps. He knew what the best mix and sealer would be for the weather and temperature and humidity. The timing of the delivery was perfect, and everything went really smoothly. We've been waiting for this work for years - now all we want to do is sit and admire it. Jon did a fantastic job.
Overall, I would whole-heartedly recommend Jon. Professional, fast, reasonably priced, a long family history in the area, and a family history in the construction business for years. We have already recommended him to two friends that need work and we will most certainly use his services again.
