We met this individual through a local home design center. An estimate was given and we signed a contract. Mr. Vickery then left the design center and because all of our one to one conversations had been with him, we withdrew from the contract with the design center, and formed a new contract, agreeing to use him as our project manager, with oversight from another general contractor. Mr. Vickery performed the majority of the work himself. The project was never finished. It began in April and was supposed to be finished in June. In July, we did our final walk through, he agreed to correct, repair or finish the items on our walk through list, he took final payment and we never saw or heard from him again. Installation of floors- this was completed first and the papers left down while other work was in progress. When the paper came up, there were numerous scratches, dents, and damage to the finish. None were repaired. Millwork- Mr. Vickery did a beautiful job with the millwork. There was some bubbling after the painting, which is not unexpected, and could have been touched up, but he never completed the work Painting was satisfactory. Sheetrock- Holes in the sheetrock left unrepaired. A large seam is visible in one room where a preexisting door was sealed. New doors - Mr. Vickery hung the master bedroom door. Unfortunately, he left it unstained and without hardware. New fireplace- did a beautiful job building a new fireplace mantle. Unfortunately, he never finished it. The mantle shelve is absent New bedroom door - did not replace the siding around the exterior, left unpainted. Took payment for refinishing the front door and did not complete the work.
