 + -1 moreWhen he was done, you'd be hard pressed to tell the old from the new: transitions are seamless, the textures are consistent and the overall appearance is very professional. For an old house with issues, he made it look as good as you could reasonably expect. Highly recommended, and will hire again on future work.
Description of Work: Dave subcontracted to Metropolitan Construction and Remodeling on a project to renovate guest and master bedrooms and baths. The bathrooms were complete gut and tear-outs but the bedrooms had a mix of new and old drywall work with badly done textures on walls and ceilings.

 + -1 moreDave inspected the area and found another dime-size soft spot.. He recommended an inspection of the roof and skylight by a roofer. He did not charge us for his inspection visit. A roofer inspected and caulked where needed. The roof has not leaked again and we will have Dave repair the small damaged ceiling area before we repaint. He arrived when he said he would and gave us accurate information.
Description of Work: Dave came to inspect a quarter-size spot on the family room ceiling.

Description of Work: Dave of Dave's Finishing Touch Drywall Company inspected a very small, quarter size, peeling back area on our family room ceiling. He probed the area around it and found one spot where his finger sunk in and confirmed that there had been a small leak from the roof of our single story house. He charged nothing for the inspection. We will have him back to repair the ceiling as soon as a roofer completes an inspection of our roof and takes care of any needs including caulking. We were impressed with Dave's promptness, competent inspection, and friendliness. We'd give Dave all A's for the inspection work.

 + -1 moreHE WAS ON TIME, CALLED AHEAD TO CONFIRM HE WAS COMING, CALLED WHEN HE WAS ABOUT DONE, FINISHED IN THE TIME EXPECTED, AND DID A FANTASTIC JOB. HE ALSO CLEANED UP VERY WELL, LEAVING ALMOST NO TRACES THAT HE WAS THERE.
Description of Work: MISCELLANEOUS DRYWALL REPAIR (FROM 40 YEARS OF ACCUMULATED WEAR AND DAMAGE, PLUS THE AFTERMATH OF SOME MINOR REMODELING), AND RE-TEXTURING OF ALL THE WALLS IN OUR BATHROOM, LIVING ROOM, AND HALLWAY (ABOUT 800 FT^2).
